Very nice hostel; a little ways out of town

This is a lovely hostel! I can't say much for the staff because I have hardly seen any, but the room was very clean (they replaced the towels daily, and sheets every other day!) and it was quiet to sleep. It is about a 10 minute walk to the train station and then about a 25 minute ride to City Hall in the center of town. Besides that, everything was excellent and I would definitely stay here again!

I shared rooms with 3 people. The air-conditioning was nice, along with the bathroom which had a warm water option. I liked the fact that they had vendo machines near the rooms. Though, I got lost for a couple times in returning to our room because the rooms looked so similar and could not remember the number of the building our room was located.

Well, we are finally on our travels!

After a traumatic start to our trip at the airport (let's just say that the women who checked us in gave us some wrong info, and caused us to run round terminal 3 for an hour trying to find a working printer, which caused a lot of stress and shall now be referred to as the T3 incident), we said our e...

It may be a painful blow to take, realising that I am no longer a youngster and have reached the dizzying fourth century in my life. However that blow was softened by being well and truly spoilt by my fantastic wife (who incidentally is always going to be older than me - another comfort) and taken out into vibrant and alive Singapore by Jan &...

The flight to Singapore went smoothly, and we were pretty excited about finally getting to Asia. When we arrived at the airport, it was quite late, so we quickly jumped in a taxi and made our way to our hostel which was situated in Kovan. The taxi only cost us $15 (7.50), which made us really happy, as we were expecting to pay about $35! Our ro...
