    Nice place but busy due to conference being on (ironically a bunch of IFAs).

    Ahhhhhh.....San Diego! Quelle magnifique ville portuaire! C'est beau, c'est beau, c'est beau!!! Il fait chaud mais pas trop (comprendre ici comme à Las Vegas), le ciel est bleu, l'océan est pratiquement turquoise comme au Mexique...on s'y sent vraiment en vacances.     San Diego Breakfast at hotel at 9.30 before heading off on Trolley Tour. Excellent tour with knowledgable and funny drivers. We get off at Coronado which is over bridge from main city and is beautiful place, lovely shops, nice hotel and massive beach where we spend a few hours. Girls swim in sea with great waves and also cool to watch pelicans …

    ... where he quadrupled his experience in an hour that first night. Many lessons have been learned after close calls, actual misses & a few post- change showers and that is all we will ever say on that subject (we promise).

    We have been out & about for dinners, walks, drives, donuts, coffee, donuts, shopping & air shows- it hasn't always been easy but worth it to be in the world to show her off to all the ransoms who tell us how beautiful she is ...

    ... museum, was glad to see us since it was a slow day. The Torrey pine is only growing in two places, both in California. There are trials and beaches in this area with beautiful overlooks. We did a 2/3 mile hike on the easy trail. The trees and other vegetation is really scruffy, but it only gets 9 inches of rain in a good year. It has not had a good year. The park is quite high up looking down on the beautiful blue waters.

    ... The adults were able to catch up on things. Lunch was ordered poolside and was delicious.

    Around 4:45, we had to start packing up. Mark had scheduled us for some family photos, so we had to get showered and dressed-up. We said our good-byes to our friend, and talked about getting together with her again tomorrow for more surf or poolside fun.
