    Hello Family & Friends,

    Thank you all so much for your kind farewell wishes as I embark on this exciting new journey to the United Kingdom.

    I especially want to thank all of you who came from near and far to attend my London Send-Off party, as well as those who sent in loving farewell messages.

    ... supermarket HEB to get our desired supplies for the weekend (brie, saint agur, ice cream, all the essentials…) and stuff to make fajitas with for dinner.

    Had a good meal and a chilled out evening, even booked up a hotel for Hayley and I in Fort Worth for our travel days next week. All in all a very successful day! And I got to spend it all with my cuz which is the whole reason we’re here, so I’m a happy bunny ...

    Something went awry last night as when we woke up the house was freezing. Had I put a bit more thought in before going to bed I might have noticed that it wasn't just the lamp by my bed that had stopped working, but all the power outlets in both my room and Hayley and Ruth’s. Still no idea why or how this happened, but was not sorry to get up and out the house into the sunshine asap! Hayley as always on travelling days ...

    ... so we will be at the airport at 4am. (Ruthie doesn't know that part!). The rest of the posse, including our girls fly out at around 10am. We should all meet in Honolulu around 2pm Hulu-skirt time (+7 hrs Texas time). I imagine we will get unloaded, fed, and settled around midnite Hawaii time.     I went to the gym with Crystal in the morning and tried the oddest machine - a stair walker where it is essentially an escalator with rotating steps that you walk on. Have you ever tried walking up stairs for twenty minutes? It's knackering. I rather overdid it though and have pulled a few muscles. Oops.
