    ... t, so we had to go back to the gate to get maintenance to look at it. After another 10 minutes of idling our captain advised us that they were having trouble finding a gate for us to go back to. Oh, and did I mention the air conditioning wasn't working either? Talk about peanuts and monkeys..

    ... 6 lane highway. Still humid and hot, we walked along the beach. The sea this side was a shipping lane, you could see quite a few big tankers in the distance. We finished off our stroll along the promenade, looking for somewhere to have a drink. Bahai Cobana patio bar seemed inviting, so we crossed over to find it was part of the Days Inn accommodation. This didn't stop us going in, it had a rustic boardwalk look and overlooked the marina and our hotel across the water. As it was hot, ...

    ... things over. Marina and Alejandro are Guatemalans and live nearby. They are world travellers, but have never arranged a major trip totally by themselves. They are fascinated by the way we travel using apartments from AIRBNB, renting cars and having lots

    ... ages, and eventually it came, but I still had my 6km walk. So I took a small detour to a Walmart on the way to grab some dinner and snacks. I figured out a bus I could get for the rest of my walk, but after waiting for 30 minutes. I realised it won't be coming today and sadly had to complete my walk. I made it, just in time for the sun to set as I had my bread and olives dinner.
