      • I left Tahoe at 12pm
      • I first stopped at a gas station and got gas and then I started on my way back to Sacramento

      ... which was our next target. When we got there we found it was a private beach so we set off along it until the last few metres were not signed as private so we pulled up there. On the shore were picnic benches so we assumed it was a public beach so we set off for the toilets; however, it was a private club on the lake shore.

      We awoke to rain, which made preparing the trailer for its last day out a bit hard for John, who had to dump the tanks. I took a photo of the RV park, which sits at the base of some beautiful cliffs. We looked out on these cliffs. Fortunately, the rain broke for a few minutes and I was able to get a nice photo.

      ... Deadwood, Grand Tetons, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and throw in the unexpected Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. All a taste of America! Staying with the family in Seattle turned into an ideal situation. The Lake Pleasant RV park was convenient to the kids, friends and family for some great get togethers at our home. Peaking at the height of a gold boom in the mid 19th century, fires and diminishing returns gradually killed off the town - at one stage having a population of 10,000.
