We have spent quite a bit of time at the beach or by the pool, and a half day walking around a big gun emplacement facility which was built in the 1920s against invasion and to defend the port of Cartagena, but which was never used. We have finally arrived at our destination and are now enjoying an evening on the terrace in Casa Verde! The resort is lovely, but step outside and you are immediately plunged into a moonscape. You have to travel pretty far to find any greenery, but there are some nice sandy beaches nearby.
