weather been for a tomato soup in the shopping outlets at Söke, which is now something that we shall
be doing more often as the weather gets colder.
So it's been a week of saying goodbye to friends, getting the villa ready for

Travel to Turkey
... that had been left in storage and re-packed. We were a bit rushed but still got to the boarding gate before they started boarding. This was just a small propeller plane rather than a jet, after landing in Samos I don't think the runway would be long enough for a big jet. It was a clear though so got some pretty spectacular views of islands on the 45 minute flight.

The Turkish MacDonalds was a veritable facsimile of North American chain. Eli tried the double köfte burger while Mia watched and photographed the experience. It was fine as far as 'Mackers' food goes but nothing to write home about…apparently it was something to write the blog about.

The only things to share today are we saw a grain elevator on the outskirts of Keyseri. They do grow wheat, barley, and sugar beets in Turkey so I am assuming the grain elevator was for the wheat or barley.

When we arrived, Mehmet was there waiting at the bus station to greet us--with open arms and a giant friendly smile.
