As well as classes, Amee and I run an English club and an Art club at Aicha’s (our host mum) primary school. Before our lessons began I assisted in one class there: one teacher, 200 students and all of them trying to learn how to write their ABCs. The students were crammed in 4 to a desk and it took half an hour just to take the register! Due to the incredible number of students, the teacher felt it necessary to use ...

... was a sea of white Senegal t-shirts and flags. When the game finally started, the supporters were even louder than before, truly living out every minute of the match. They would boo loudly when an Ivorian had the football and go wild when Senegal was awarded a throw–in. After a goal-less first half spirits were still high and we felt part of the family as the crowd went mental and we joined in! However the second half saw a turn of events. ... water is as hot as the ocean, (ok, maybe 1 degree hotter). Again it's time for Sun and relaxation. At 17h00, it's time to go back to our room, take a shower and get the bags. Everything is settled with the reception and at 18h10, François arrived to take us to the airport and to start our journey back to Portugal.

Hot sun, swimming and sunbathing

... br> By 17h00, we decided to go to the beach again. The tides is stronger than in the morning, but still, is good for swimming. Of course, it's advisable to have sunblock on your face while swimming, because the sun is still hot and it reflects on the water, burning your skin in a few minutes.

Well, it's time to head back to our room, have a refreshing shower and get dressed for dinner.

A drive down to the beach resort many Europeans come here to stay at....but they weren't here at this time of year, and it's not much of a resort as far as I could see.

The drive there and back provided most of the entertainment....until we though we would be killed on the way back. That story is in the next entry.
