Club Fiji Resort
Travel Blogs from Nadi
During the term 3 holidays we decided to head to Fiji for a week! We had a great place to stay, and managed to do a lot of interesting things each day! We got immersed in the culture when heading to the town of Nadi and using the public transport system to get around the main island. Snorkelling was great and as was the warmth that got us both …
From four months of westernised backpacking, I have flown once again back into fully blown experience living. Alongside this of course comes the sweat! It appears as the balance for the gleeful smile permanantly on my face as I once again feel I am in a place where not just the sites but the culture and people are there for the discovering.
Hello from very sunny Fiji!
What an amazing time we've had in the last few days! Left a wet and windy Auckland last Friday morning and set off for on the 3 hour flight to Nadi, Fiji.
Got a taxi to the Club Fiji Resort, which turned out to be at the end of a very long dirt path. Amy and I were pretty sure that the driver was …
We got off the plane at around 6am and were greeted with warm balmy air and an alien sounding birdsong as we walked along the wooden walkway into the main terminal. We waited and waited and waited for our bags to come (we checked in 5 hours before our flight so we were to blame for being the first on the plane) we started to think they had been …
The perfect end to a near-perfect trip: days spent in the sun-drenched, palm-frond-waving islands of Fiji with our fun-loving friends. Those cocktail and laughter filled times belong to us, but I will give you all the ingredients to make your own Fiji stay just as memorable as ours.
Nine crazy human friends and one coconut pseudo …

Atrocious service, Absolutely disgusted
Upon our arrival we were informed that our reservation had not been recieved and thus they had no accomodation for us, although they had gladly accepted payment and issued a reciept number for said payment. We were told that it was our problem and we could write our travel agent an email (At a cost for using the email). When asked if we could use the phone to call our travel agent reverse charges we were flatly refused. Never recieved an apology and had to find emergeny accomodation elsewhere. Extremely dissapointed and severly tarnished our whole Fiji experience.
I actually think the rating of Terrible is even overrated!!!
We stayed here between 18th March - 22nd March 2006, thinking it would be a great place to relax after our very consuming world trip around Asia and Australia. Little did we know, until we stayed there... This resort was extremely unsatisfactory for various reasons...
First of all, if you expect a white sandy beach and blue water don't even think about this place - we were so disappointed we didn't even unpack and went looking for new accomodation the following morning.
Club Fiji is definitely a great place to spend time on when on holiday. Why? Awesome venue away from all the main city streets where you can relax with a lot of privacy as well as staff who are absolutely friendly. The food is great and the atmosphere is magnificant. The experience was fun and the activities definitly keep you ocupied (kayaking, volleyball etc. The outside bar is also briliant with an oceanview as you drink and socialise with other travellers. My partner and I stayed in a bure, but i would definitly recommend a villa or beachfront bure just for more excitment on your trip even though the bure are lovely to stay in. Just for a slight tip always wear your insect replelant asap because I got too excited and left it for two days and got bitten slightly(I persume most people already know that). Just for reference because sometimes you do get very excited at times and forget. Overall a great time, beautiful quiet venue with awesome staff to top off the vacation. Highly recommend!!
If you are looking for a place off the beaten path than Club Fiji is just the place. Clean bures, nice gardens with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. However as described in other reviews there is no white sand beach but the water is warm and relatively clear if you are willing to trudge out a ways.
Its a treat
yes this place is a paradise, you do drive down a rough road which makes the pleasure of arriving at such a beautiful place all the more of a surprise. the staff are very friendly, the bures are quite tidy and pleasant, the restaurant has quite a reasonable selection of food had typical prices but beautifully presented. we went as a family of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 young kids and whilst it was a bit quiet it was relaxing and made us spend time together. it is small and friendly and you know where each other are. the staff make sure it is spotless and seem genuinely caring. i reccomend this place also for its location of being so close to the town Nadi and the mariner.
Overall Club fiji resort was very diappointing, I came to fiji with a view of white sand and clear blue sea. What we got was completly opposite, a non-existant beach, it was more like muddy grassy sludge and the water was brown and full of plastic bags and food wrappers floating in it.
Club Fiji is a rip off! I know Fiji and Nadi having visited over 25 times and stayed at most Nadi hotels. What's wrong with Club Fiji? To get there you go down a rough rutty track, you wouldn't call it a road. When you arrive the park area is muddy and untidy and it just keeps getting worse. The rooms are untidy and dirty, the "restaurant" has some of the worst food I have ever had. I'm not a fussy eater having eaten all round the world but this is bad!
