... in Goa we got a taxi to Palolem which is the beach resort next door to where we had booked from tomorrow onwards. It was a 1.5 hour drive along a dead road with Palm trees and greenery everywhere. We had a lovely room which was huge with a balcony and much needed air con - hurrah! Ian went out for a wander round and for some dinner whilst i stayed in the room and rested. ...

New Year on the beach was a crowded affair. Again, we pub crawled the beach shacks before getting settled at the ‘Royal Touch’. This has been one of our go to places on the beach with amazingly friendly staff and great food along with a Costa Del Sol feel with sun loungers arranged outside close to our favourite part of the beach. For New Year the cranked up the sound system ...

As I mentioned, yesterday was probably the most fun I've ever had. It was kind of perfect, a little bit of stress with getting used to the scooter, but a perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, and lovely people. It was so nice to FaceTime with Adam and Ian last night. They were just waking up, after Eric and I had just walked the beach, snapped a few pictures, and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset. We tried some coconut and cashew fenny, a local Goan eau de vie. Once we got back to Sim ...
