... face painting so I thought I would give it a go, being I was not dressed in costume for Halloween as I normally would be back home. His English was not great so I wasn't sure what he was painting but I ended up as a butterfly, which glowed in the black lights. Most of my time on the island was spent on the beach. This included being knocked over by a powerful wave whilst I walked with my camera, in front of a busy beach bar. Luckily my camera survived.

Many businesses seem to have popped up recently with some having more thought put in to them than others. We ended up on a little cove for lunch looking at perfectly calm blue water. We attempted to have lunch at a place called Time for Lime where Christine was considering cooking lessons. They turned out not to be open for lunch so we ...

... is very shelly and rough, great for finding nice sea shells, but painful to walk on.
All up this area of the beach were little bar/restaurants that all looked very authentically thai, like a little island community arranged neatly on the sea front. Everyone was really friendly shouting hello as you walked past, of course they all wanted business from you to but the weren't to assertive or pushy like in some places in Thailand were you really feel like they just look at ...
