Yesterday morning we caught a 3 hour minibus (and two little ferry crossings) over to Koh Lanta island. Koh Lanta wasn't originally on our radar, but when we started looking into Indonesia a bit more, we realised that it wasn't deserving of 2 whole months, so we decided to fit in some extra time in Thailand and Malaysia. The tides here were strong and because of this, the scenery changeable. When it was out, a vast distance of rocks would be on show leaving behind small warm pools of water to paddle in, whereas when the tide was in, the pull of the waves would be too strong ...

... on chairs, you sit on cushions. After we finished dinner, the lady gave us bouncy hippos and we played pretend fighting.

We also spent a day at the beach, the waves were really big and rough. I got caught under water and Mum got dumped on rocks and hurt her leg. But it was fun.
Mum and I did a Thai cooking class. We made spring rolls, chicken with holy basil and Thai Red Curry. I cooked the veges for the spring rolls and helped mum roll them. I ...
