... had been relentless!! He had been visiting Thailand for 9 years and this was the first time he had experienced rain like this. On a more positive note, the hotel location is fantastic-right in the heart of Saladan close enough to everything, but just set back from the main road. Although watching that last episode of Friends with my dad and eating a few oatcakes seems a while ago, everything since Bangkok has pretty much been a blur. Then there was a daybed which was lovely but the bed is quite big enough so it became a small dumping ground! The quiet balcony overlooking a garden full of Palm trees, mango tree and frangipani was huge with big comfy easy chairs, a proper table and there is even a washing line provided that can be pulled out if you need it. The bathroom was, for ...

... I couldn't take a heavy dose of it. I feel like an old head on this trip because everyone I've met is on holiday from their university. It's unreal how much Europeans travel. I've begun to envy them quite a bit and wished I had as equal of an opportunity back then. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers!
