... a real eye opener for our kids.

Visited the jade factory and watched a master sculpting a family ball.

Warm day again, very smoggy- at least this stops the sunburn!

The kids are doing really well, a few needing panadol but no sickness. We've been keeping up a cracking pace, all a bit tired, looking forward to some down time later on ...

Well, unfortunately I missed my overnight train to X'ain on Saturday by all of two minutes.

I had a bad change on the subway from line 6 to line 9 as the station was so confusing as to where my next platform was. I could have changed my ...

... KTV entrance, though small on the outside, was huge on the inside. The actual KTV place was underground and had hallways with rooms after room on both side, each room equipped with couches, tables, tables, a full speaker system , tv and an endless list of Asian and English songs. Jake and I left a little early to get back to our host families (I still had to ride my bike back to Wudaokou), but overall it was a fun night that helped to shake off the stress of the ...

... reading this over your lunch break I'm about to pass out for the night. Will be updating this blog with pictures as soon as I find a way to power this laptop, until then just hang tight while I collapse onto this...shoebox-height bed and get some much needed rest. One day down, only so many more left before I'm back in DeKalb getting on all of your nerves. Enjoy the break while I explore the other side of the world, one awkward moment in line at a time.
