    Our tour guide David suggested we start at 7.30 again to visit the Forbidden City as the crowds are huge....great intentions and all that...even missed breakfast slept till lunch time - must have been the last baileys and jack Daniels we had in that Irish bar....or maybe still jet lag...     4000 artifacts from the one tomb, though, so they probably had as
    many ancient artifacts as they needed to keep us tourists happy. The
    first building of the tomb housed a large bronze statue of the

    ... Of course he didn't understand a word I was saying but it kept him calm and he was no longer honking out of control. It is not that the Chinese get road rage but they do like to honk. I don't really understand it because the traffic is so heavy and no matter how much you honk it is still going to be slow moving. The bus driver, the car drivers, the scooter drivers love to honk..     ... of the mountains. It was interesting to see how the wall follows the ridges, so even though the next ridge might only be a few hundred metres away the wall had to travel a kilometre or two to get there because of where the ridges ran. The day was beautiful and the breeze welcome after a climb into the mountains.
