We stopped for dinner at a Perkins where we decided instead of going all the way to South Dakota, we would stop in Luverne for the night. Mom was a bit road weary and ready for a stretch and a good night's sleep.
Our total mileage for today was 386 miles. Tomorrow we're heading for the Western side of South Dakota! We'll see if we get there!

From Minneapolis I headed south looking for the best way to
follow the Mississippi River. I
crossed the river at the town of Prescott WI and then followed the Wisconsin
Great River Road along the river for about 120 miles. It was a great backroad tour through small
towns, the river valley, and by the locks and dams that mark this stretch of
