Very nice campground. All pads are concrete, long and mostly level. Each site has covered picnic table and grill. Public restrooms are immaculate. Staff friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of Choctaw Casino. Heated pool and nice sitting area.

Rained all day and we mostly stayed on back roads instead of the interstate for the first half. Once we realized that the rain was not going to let up we hopped on the interstate and headed south towards Dallas.

This was the only “shallows” in the entire length of the Red River, and it was necessary to swim the cattle across at this location to minimize losses in the raging river waters. This spot is called Red River Station and is now an abandoned town. It can only be found by walking down a gravel road and across a wheat field located west of a small community named Spanish Fort, ...

Last stop before heading home just happened to be Choctaw casino in Durant Ok. its only 150 miles away, yet a totally different world. For anyone planning to visit, here's a little heads up...
Before stepping a foot in that casino, be prepared for the possibility of lung cancer, drunken fights with men all named "Fred", and the beautiful songs of the only two music genres they know...Country and western. I've been to many casino's, and yet to see any come close to this place. ...
