Very nice campground. All pads are concrete, long and mostly level. Each site has covered picnic table and grill. Public restrooms are immaculate. Staff friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of Choctaw Casino. Heated pool and nice sitting area.

... some books up in case any of them join. So we are going to be busy for the next day or so.

We just had a little excitement. It is going to rain tonight, maybe, but I remembered that the awning was out, so I went to put it in and the wind had already picked up enough that the awning was billowing up and over the coach (hopefully not enough to tear it off the top of the coach). Bob was already asleep and I had to wake him up to help ...

We started out the day by going to church. The UMC of Durant has recently built a new building out of town and it is very nice. According to one parishioner I spoke with "It is more senior friendly" than the old one.

After church and changing clothes, we went on a road trip. Lots of our RV buds have been posting pictures of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, TX so it got my curiosity up. Since from here is would ...

Drove south through the Ozarks into some small towns through southern Missouri before hitting the Arkansas border. Again we had persistent rain and low visibility. Dionne and Andy suggested that we stop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We absolutely loved the town and wished we could have stopped but as ...

While in north Texas one just has to talk about the weather. This is the land of lightning storms and high winds, the occasional tornado or two, and unsparingly hot temperatures--we got only one out of three--and that's not bad for spending a couple of weeks here. The heat was in the mid-90's all week, without a cloud the entire time. We positioned the RV in the best position to avoid the usual heat buildup on the inside, however, ...

Last stop before heading home just happened to be Choctaw casino in Durant Ok. its only 150 miles away, yet a totally different world. For anyone planning to visit, here's a little heads up...
Before stepping a foot in that casino, be prepared for the possibility of lung cancer, drunken fights with men all named "Fred", and the beautiful songs of the only two music genres they know...Country and western. I've been to many casino's, and yet to see any come close to this place. ...
