The pool and outside area is lovely. Unfortunatly when we stayed building work was going on so it was quite noisy. Outside town so be prepared for quite a walk into town. Staff need to offer better customer experience.

Nice location, an oasis in the big red desert. Very good restaurant. Rooms are very plain, but tidy and clean. For the remote location, it's a very, very nice place.

Well located by the Todd River. Just a 5 min walk to the Todd Mall and 10 mins to the cultural precinct!

On Wednesday 4th May, Walter left Melbourne for a well planned 'Winterreise' to escape chilly Melbourne in pursuit of a friendlier climate. For many months in advance he researched, mapped, organised and prepared for a 4-WD trip that is designed to take him to Adelaide and the Flinders Ranges, through the centre of Australia, across the Tanami …

This afternoon we travelled by coach the 440km from Uluru to the nearest town, Alice Springs. It's a lot of desert but there are interesting things to see on the way. Our first stop was Curtin Springs, a cattle station owned by Peter Severin who bought this one million acre ranch back in the 1950s. The stop had one or two very Australian features …

So much for getting a photo without (many) people in it. Ah well, what can you do. Using a wide angle lens means that they become but specks in the photo anyway, and even a 10mm wide angle cannot capture the full expanse of the Cathedral anyways.

... no sooner than Springsteen finished "Blown Away" than I spied a willy-willy crossing the road ahead. I stopped for a pic but it didn't really capture. Later I drove through a smaller one that crossed the road as I passed by. I'd like to say it was incredibly scarey and dangerous. But in truth, nothing really happened. I arrived in Alice in the late arvo and made my way to the Todd Tavern located in the central CBD where I'd booked a room online - at $80, I wasn't ...
