... to pollute a good looking beach! We were all gobsmacked at how clean it all was and picturesque. It looked just as it did on the photos! - no photo shop! They went straight into the water snorkelling, I was joining this time only muggins got stuck with the mask that was way to big for my face and reached to the top of my lips. So my mask was constantly full with water; aunty Lynne and mum were off on a trek down the sand bank to check it was all real and there wasn't ...

In Bangkok I got to meet my old friend John Anselmi from Pearl River HS and his wife Lisa who just came from their son Michael's wedding in Vietnam. We spend a day exploring Bangkok together. It was so nice to catch up with one of my best friends.

My kids still have a little more time in Thailand so we decided to go to the North to explore the Chiang Mai region which has rain forests, mountains and elephants.

... them regularly so I wasn't too disappointed. The water quality wasn't too disturbed and although not crystal clear it was still visible to about 4m which was fine for snorkeling in the shallows. I think perhaps I've been spoiled with the barrier reef which is still by far the most beautiful coral I've seen, nothing so far has measured up to it especially the outer reef off Port Douglas. Our last stop was the small island of Koh Nang Yuan. Nang Yuan island ...

... on the boat got issued sick bags. It was disgusting on there. One bloke took a turn for the worst and had to get carried off when we docked, fare play to the Thai staff they have seen it all before and not alot bothers them. So yet again after another unpleasant journey we arrived in Koh Tao. The usual argument with the taxi drivers took place as we walked around with our map, like lambs to the slaughter really! After the short taxi ride we got dropped of near Sairee beach which ...
