Sunday 20th/Monday 21st - the most horrendous journey has just occurred. After 8 hours on our sleeper train, where we couldn't sleep due to the freezing train, hard beds and annoying American chat going on we arrived at a random train station at 4.30am. Once our diving training was over, we spent the rest of our time on the island exploring local markets and getting over excited at the prospect of fish and chips at the English Bar on the strip, and even more excited about the absolutely incredible pie I had at the Hacienda Bar (which we did go to entirely because of it's name). We wandered to ...

... itself is new, only about a year old, and full of funky references. It is set at the highest point on the top end of Aow Leuk. The bay is a favorite place for diving and snorkeling as coral attract many fish along the outer edges of the bay.Nui and Pixy expertly choose the dishes for our lunch. Prawn cakes with sweet sauce, green leaf omelet in curry sauce, soft shell crab and coconut dip with salad, papaya salad, and a squid and prawn dish. Impossible to ...
