... mic night . Once again I am allowed to bang out some tunes and once again I snap a string. This time I donate one of my own again with many apologies. It's a great place and we enjoy drinks with Betsy and Eddie until late. Then on Sunday night it is open mic at sonnys bar. He is superb and even has delay set up on hips mic to make me sound superb. Between myself and sonny we play until about 3 in the morning. Then me, Lola, Da and a German guy we have met head next door to ...

Jasper, the co-founder, pointed us in the direction for some cheap but decent accommodation, and we were lucky to get the last room at J.D's for the night. Literally over the road from the beach, a nice spacious clean room with a balcony. We spent ...

... young couple on the bus who had been living in China and were making their way to Costa Rica to live. We had a laugh and enjoyed the scenery on the way.

My hotel was lovely - The Chinotel - and the staff very welcoming with a nice cold drink for me when I finally arrived at 7pm. It had taken me over 6 hours to get from the airport just a 45 minute taxi ride away but there wasn't any rush and I wasn't bothered.

The hotel organised my bus ticket for the ...

... at 8am the next day. This morning I started diving properly. We went straight in the pool and did lots of skills including getting water out our masks, emergency ascending, etc. This afternoon we just watched some more videos and do some theory. Tomorrow we have our exam in the morning and two open water dives in the afternoon - so excited to go in the sea as we are going down to 18 metres! Just finished my homework again and now off to get ready for ...
