... more people to get on. A german couple joined us and then he said he wouldn't go so we got put onto another tuktuk! From here we were driven to a random place near the pier and told to wait. We sat there nearly an hour chatting before we boarded ANOTHER tuktuk and got driven down to the ferry, only just making it. We had been meant to get to Koh Chang, our island destination at 3pm but we watched the sunset on the ferry. I was glad we had booked accommodation in advance so we wouldn't ...

Lots of people there of course and a good atmosphere ...

... thank god, we were starving). We decided to share plain rice and a chicken dish. Big mistake! The chicken was gristly and covered in small fiery chilies, we were suffering after just a mouthful so we forced in as much as we could (mainly the plain rice) and left the rest. We got back on the bus quite quickly to enjoy the air con before we continued our journey to Bangkok. The traffic in and around Bangkok was horrendous! The bus was supposed to arrive at Bangkok train station ...

... heat as we planned to take the kayaks provided by our accommodation, down the mangrove to see the island's waterfall. After letting Ross do most of the work for an hour we reached a dead end and gave up trying to find the waterfall - the novelty of kayaking had definitely worn off by that point! Cue some more lazy beach time for the next day and a half. Our departure from the island was not as glamorous as our arrival - we were taken to the ferry port in a rickety old ...
