        ... don't normally get seasick and even I felt a little bit queasy. At one point the captain idled the engine, which was a bit unnerving. Still, we ended up making it back in one piece with no vomiting. We went back to the hotel we stayed in before we headed to the island, jumped in the pool, then went for lunch. The last few days we'd been waking up as soon as the electricity cut out, stopping the fan, and after lunch I ended up falling asleep. Poor tired Alec. In the evening ...

        Slept well. Breakfast or coffee In Asia, unless one is staying in a posh hotel, paper must not be flushed down the loo. In fact, unless you are paying for a room you are unlikely to be given any toilet paper. Hence the small showerheads on the end of a hosepipe by the loo. So a small bucket or swingbin is provided for said paper. A girl comes round early every morning to Thaidy up, give out fresh towels, make the bed and empty the bin. I try to ...

        The ocean is really rough today so it will be an interesting boat ride. During breakfast we watched the crew try and get our but ready in the swells. The rudder broke off and it took a them a while to get it back on. We were supposed to leave at 9:00 but didn't get going until 11:00.
