... and then saw the Forrest Gump was on, and seeing this is the only room that we are going to have a tv in the room, AND we have 4 nights here altogether... We decided to watch it. Such a fab film! We were going to meet the two lads out, who are staying in our room, but we will go out with them tonight instead. They're both 21, and from South London. First on the list was a forest drive along Lyrebird Ridge Road. This was spectacular -- through a rainforest -- with glimpses through the trees and thick brush of an awesome valley below. A wallaby dashed (hopped?) across the road.

... and then headed out to The Surf Club at Nobby's Beach. We had a couple of drinks a some great seafood and just enjoyed the view of the sand and surf. Not a view we get in Nebraska. I did notice that the wind picked up in the afternoon, which is common in winter here. But keep in mind it is still hard to complain when it is in the lower 70s.

After lunch we headed home and relaxed a bit ...

... been to with a friend when I first visited Sydney. Had some nice food and a couple of home made ciders, before heading back home and falling asleep extremely early (getting old n all...). On day 6 we visited a couple of markets, the first a small market at bondi and the second paddys market, a huge market in the city centre. After wondering around we went for some nice food and drinks in darling harbour, really nice area of Sydney where our hotel was. Lots ...
