      A éviter !!!

... was taxi after taxi. I was so excited! Entry to the party was £8 each with one drink. We paid and walked up a muddy track. Andy carried us over streams and mini rivers as we were wearing trainers. It was pretty dark, but slowly the lights and music in the distance got louder and louder. Andy carried us over the the last stream to a wooden bridge, we had arrived, HELLO WATERFALL PARTY! It was basically loads of people outside, going crazy with banging music and lights.

We headed out this morning on a island tour to a few of the popular spots! We went via a view point and a creepy mummified monk to an amazing waterfall where we spent some time swimming and exploring! We were the only ones there so it was just the best, so refreshing and nice to swim somewhere other than the beach and pools. We then had a look at a few big Buddha things, when I say big I mean absolutely huge!! I was more interested in how they built ...

... extended our stay here by an extra day to Monday and booked our ferry back to the mainland with transfer to Surathani airport and also booked our flights to Bangkok where we will stay for a couple of nights with Peta's friend. The flights only cost £22 each which is cheaper than getting the train or cab! This afternoon I had my very first Thai massage (when in Rome and all that), I said to Peta that I didn't want the rough like she has so said ...

... the slow motion video setting on Jan's camera which I found to be endlessly amusing (slow motion karate kicks are hilarious). It's been a change of pace and a blast having Jan and Red here. It was fun to see the girl's fresh-eyed reaction to everything - really helped me to feel like I was beginning a new chapter in my journey.
