... This traditional restaurant seats 750 and has a huge shopping area of gifts, baking, and candy. The table next to us was home to about 30 Amish women, out for the evening. Mike's plate held two huge slices of meatloaf, which I failed to record in my photos. Lewisburg is the county seat of Union County, situated on the West Bank of the Susquehanna River and close to the Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary - a fact that got Mike's attention as he knew ...

We took a short steep hike to a look out and then a super muddy 5.5 km hike that crossed an old logging railway and wound it's way through dark forests and golden woodlands. Flashes of red leaves as the maples start to fall on the dark ground below as we pick our way over and through twisted ...

... the deck we went out on the boat. After about 15 minutes on the lake taking in the amazing views the boat cut out. Jason tried to fix it but it ended up him and Amanda paddling in to a dock. We tied up the boat and a neighbour drove us back. I guess it was not our destiny to wakeboard. On Thursday we got a lift with Amanda into Bracebridge to rent a car. After trying two rental places we had no luck so Amanda drove us to Huntsville and dropped us off there. We had a lovely ...
