... to walk American cities are simply not built for walking. There are not footpaths everywhere, they don’t accommodate for walkers or bike riders. If you do not own a vehicle, forget it. So I have had my mother complaining at my lack of blogging! The wifi in this hostel is blummin awful so i am using that as my excuse.

Anyways, this morning, we woke up to the sound of something very familiar.. rain smacking the roof of the building! It was hammering down! We sat very depressed as we looked out at the weather all morning wondering what on earth we were gunna do with our day! Thankfully, by midday it had stopped and the sun was back out at ...

... We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the food, as well as each other's company---well, I enjoyed the company anyway!!! :)

Beyond that, all we did was sleep while we were in Miami! No beach time. No night life. No walking the boardwalk.

Oh well. I guess that's for another trip!

... very much island style but Nelson assured me it was a fun place with awesome people. He was right. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and all of the bar staff sing and/or dance and they were all bloody good. I got some video footage to prove it. I would have been keen to kick on for a bit longer but I needed to be up early for my Everglades Airboat tour tomorrow. So, we pushed off about 2'ish and headed back to the apartment. ... attempts to fill the car with petrol at service stations that turned out to be closed, and we arrived with minutes to spare. A huge operation at the airport. Probably 100 cars in the process of being returned, and a similar number in the process of being borrowed. Took the public express bus from the airport to Miami Beach for $2.35!, and it dropped us almost at the door. Have a lovely room in the hotel part of the Clay ...
