... Eventually she disappeared and us passengers did a better job managing our own queues.

Rant No. 3:
That awful completely unaware lady going through security using about 5 trays for her **** (1 for shoes, 1 for mobile phone etc.). This situation was not helped by the fact that we had a very limited amount of time to get through and catch our connecting flight to Miami

... was a bit of a trick - our darling GPS has not been very friendly at times and her position in our family is under review. We are finding her repetitive and rude and then she gets all hot and bothered and stops talking to us. So, we haven't told her yet (we don't want her taking revenge on us before the week is out), but we are interviewing other GPS systems for the position.

... we were in a cab heading to downtown Miami and the Intercontinental Hotel. We had room 3204 which was a gorgeous suite on the 32 floor. The views out over the bay towards South Beach were amazing. After showering We decide to head out for a walk and pick up a few things from chemist and also stock up again in Bath & Bodyworks. Headed out to the famous Ocean Drive for dinner, what a great street, right on the beach, almost all the building are in the original Miami art deco style with the fluro lights, check out the pictures.

Saw more Bentleys, Rollers, Ferrari's, in 1 street than you'd see in the whole of Melbourne.

... definitely swarmed by bugs. We took a quick walk on the wide, empty beach. The sand was very compact again, just like Daytona, but the water seemed a little chillier. We wished we could have stayed longer but we had to get on the road again. It was slow driving through the beach areas around Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach, but we were able to make up some time once we got out of those areas and hit the less developed areas ...
