Historical Traveler Reviews Caribe Cove Resort Orlando Kissimmee

    Unbeatable value

    from

Our stay (3 adults and 1 young child) at Caribe Cove resort was exceptional. This property is brand new and imacculately clean. Resort staff, from the guard at the gate to the check-in attendant, are very polite, helpful, and friendly.

The Disney themeparks are very close by and require very little travel time; we enjoyed stopping at nearby restraunts to pick up breakfast before hitting the parks.

Caribe Cove is very quiet and the condo layouts are very spacious. Each condo has a screened in Balcony or porch which is perfect for unwinding after a day at Disney. The beds are firm and comfortable, and the bathrooms are huge and accomidating.

I recommend this resort to anyone thinking of staying off property at Disney. I just dont think that there is any better value with this much luxury.

    Deceptive business practices

    from

I made a reservation to stay at this hotel for 106.80 a night with taxes of 27.77 and a one time fee for room cleaning of 65.00 (per web site). I paid for the room upon entry and when I reviewed my credit card bill there was an additional charge of $200.00 for room cleaning. Upon check in I had to sign a reservation form about, no drugs, no pets, no additional guest....etc...this form was mandatory. I also signed for the 65.00 clean up fee. When I reviewed my credit card, I called multiple times for the reason for the additional 200.00. I spoke to Rose, Donny and a night time assistant and they said I was charged for having a dog in the room. I advised them they must have me mixed up with someone else since I do not own a dog. They said I had to talk to the manager J. Dean. She did not return my call for days but I finally did reach her. She said she had to investigate and would get back to me. It is 12/09/07 and I have not heard from anyone. This is an unfair and deceptive business practice. The hotel was absolutely beautiful (brand new) and the price of the room was very reasonable for the quality of the accommodations. I truly believe this company is deceiving many customers by adding the fees to the room with the same lame excuse they provided to me. J. Dean also told me they searched the room while we were out (invasion of privacy) and did not find a dog????? I spent 2 full days at the resort and was not contacted by anyone if they had any concerns, they could have been resolved immediately. Of course they made the claim after we checked out! Watch out! I am still fighing this battle of deceptive practices through my credit ard company!

For the comfort of all of our guests, we do have a "no pets" policy at Caribe Cove. However, being animal lovers ourselves, we happily recommend pet boarding at a nearby, well-respected veterinary hospital.

In the case of this particular guest, we received several complaints that they had a dog in their guest room at Caribe Cove. We tried several times to contact these guests while they were in-house, but did not receive a response.

As with any potential health and safety issue, and for the safety of the dog, our housekeeping personnel checked the unit in question (as is standard operating procedure at any quality resort).

Unfortunately, the guest complaints were confirmed when our housekeeping personnel discovered pet paraphernalia and dog treats around the room.

Again, to ensure high standards of cleanliness and quality, we are obligated to perform a special cleaning of rooms (including carpet cleaning), anytime a pet has been inside a unit. This is in consideration of future guests that may have any allergies to pets, etc.

We were obligated to perform this additional cleaning in this case, and did charge the cleaning fee to the guest, as posted in our booking policies, and on the registration card signed by the guest.

At Caribe Cove, we make every effort to advise guests of all our booking and guest room policies and procedures in advance. Again, this is a measure of our commitment to quality and service. We did so in this case, and we were surprised that this particular guest reacted in this manner.

Our resort company has been in business for many years, with a long history of success, and excellent reputation for integrity. When we are in error, we are the first to admit it and make amends. We are also the first to look after the best interests of all our guests to make sure they have a fully enjoyable holiday with us at Caribe Cove.

We greatly appreciate this opportunity to respond, and look forward to providing you with excellent service and quality.

    Caribe Cove Resort

The best place to stay in Orlando, FL

    from

We stayed there from October 25 through November 1! That's how i can describe my experience with Caribe Cove Resort: Great resort, very friendly helpful staff and excellent location!

    No complaints.

    Highly recommended!

    Absolutely Wonderful Place!

    from

Stayed in the 3 bedroom villa over Thanksgiving holiday and it was perfect. Huge villa with beautiful grounds. Off of 192, convenient location but did not feel like you were in the hustle and bustle of it all. About a 15 minute drive to DisneyWorld and 20+ minutes to SeaWorld. Also, very nice staff. Will definitely recommend to others and will stay there again.

WOW ! Dont miss this place !

    from

I have just spent 14 nights here and what great , clean , spacious , new accomodation. Myself and my 3 yr old daughter spent 2 weeks here and what a find ! and its relatively cheap !

It only opened in Aug 07 and is brand new. It puts most other developments to shame as its great self contained 'condos' are really spacious and very clean and safe. Pool good and small gym/shop etc.

I used to stay in 'superior/executive' villas or on a Disney resort but wanted a change..... and look what i found ! it makes most of teh 4 star Disney resorts look like Butlins/Pontins or even 'Faulty Towers'.

Not one bad thing to say and take it from me ''IM FUSSY''.

Easily located to Disney, Int Drive etc. all 20 mins

DONT PRINT MAP FROM THIS SITE AS ITS MISLEADING BUT SIMPLY FOLLOW 192 WEST AND 2 miles BEFORE THE 27 Its on the LEFT IN A DEVELOPMENT CALLED 'WESTSIDE' - no lighting yet on main street - about 45 mins drive from Sanford airport...

PLEASE DONT MISS THIS AS IT WONT BE THIS GOOD FOREVER......

Have a great holiday - we did... back next year!

Great resort, away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando

    from

Just returned from Orlando yesterday, and we loved this resort. It is on West 192 in the subdivision "Westside" on Westside Blvd. I loved staying on this end of Kissimmee away from the hustle and bustle. Gorgeous condo. We stayed in the three bedroom Curacao. It looked like we were the first guest. Place was spotless. Still had new paint smell. Large entry way with full laundry room(washer, dryer, vacuum, laundry basket, mop/pail, broom, iron and ironing board). Gorgeous kitchen. I wish I had cabinets like that. Side by side fridge with ice maker, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, all glassware, cookware, has everything you need. Except papertowels, dishsoap, and extra trashbags. Large bar area with two barstools. Diningroom table seats six. Living room has two chairs, coffee table, end table, cable tv in large tv unit. Ceiling fan, sliding glass doors to large screened in balcony, which also has fan, seating for four. Huge master bedroom, very big bed(comfy), very nice furniture, flat screen tv, nicely decorated. Two walk in closets with hangers, one even had a high chair and a pack n play for anyone with small children. Each closet had extra pillows, sheets, blankets. Then you enter large masterbath with lots of towels in a towel closet, enough for a couple of days, but bring laundry detergent if you need to do a load of towels. Toilet is in own room, you are supplied one roll and one box of kleenex. I did not mind picking up more toilet paper when we went to the grocery store. Huge tiled shower with seat. Large oval tub with seat and tiled shelf. Large double sink with tons of counter space and storage, drawers and even a medicine cabinet. Other bedroom had queen bed, large closet with linens, pillows, and hangers. Two night stands, dresser with mirror, flat screen tv, and sliding glass door with small balcony. Bath has large tiled shower(no seat), large single sink, counter space, drawers and storage. toilet, towel closet, and tub with tiled shelf. Two doors in the bath, leads to smallest bedroom with two twin beds, large closet with linens, pillows, hangers. Nightstand, light, dresser/mirror. No tv and no fan in this room. Onsite is a small store, steam room, fitness room, pool. We had ample parking as it was not very busy. We stayed in bldg one>there is a guardgate. Also there is a $65 cleaning fee at check out. Did not mind because we loved it.

Now I will tell you what is closest to Caribe Cove. At the light if you turn left, within a fourth of a mile on the right is a Hess gas station with a Godfathers Pizza. If you turn right at the light, within a mile is a Dominos, Subway, Beef-o-Brady, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Hoolahan's Restaurant, a 7-11, and a Walgreens drugstore. Within 3 miles is a Publix grocery store and a Chik fil-a. Within five to seven miles is: Cracker Barrel, Denny's, Bob Evans, Perkins, Shoney's, Ihop, Outback(we had a great waitress), Carraba's,Red Lobster, TGI Fridays(open late, good food, good waitstaff, Karoke), Burger King, Wendy's, McDonald's, and aTaco Bell. You will pass all of these if you are going to the parks each day. I thought it was a good variety. The only other places we went were Bahama Breeze behind the Marriott Village(excellant food and waitstaff, but you may have a bit of a wait), and Logan's on 192. Avoid them, we ordered two salads and a bake potato and had to wait over 30 minutes for them, while other parties were seated after us, ordered, ate and left before we got ours. Manager did comp it>

    Stay Here!!!

    from

Hi!! I loved this place. Its located off of US 192 in Kissimmee. Its not on GPS so it may be hard to find if you are coming in at night. The lights arent up yet so you can see where the development is. But that's minor compared to the rooms.

I stayed in the Aruba @ bedroom. It is so spacious. Full kitchen, laundry room, videos, dvd players, i had problems with my internet, but it may have just been my room. Utensils, cookery, microwave, stove, dishwasher, balcony with eat in area. soooo nice and new. The garden tub was soooo roomy. You have in room spa that you can enjoy and they will take you to the spa if you need it. Fitness room, pool,

hot tub. anything you can ask for. It is also very close to all the attractions, Disney, Universal, etc. It only takes about 5-10 min drive to get there. Dining places are also like 3 minutes away. There

    are lots of them.

It also may depend on the site you book on, but just to let you know.

There is a $65 cleaning fee plus tax which makes it $73.95. I didnt know tax was charged until i got there. There is also a $200 security

deposit in case something gets damaged. So make sure you have the extra money available on your credit card. Its just a hold and not a charge. I didnt know that either until i got there. But its something

you should know. So you can have that money when you get there. Other

than that my stay was great, nice, quiet. You can see the hot air balloon rides in the early morning which is beautiful. also disney fireworks. If you want to ask anything you can do so. Enjoy your trip

cause once eveyone learns about this place, it will be hard to book a

    room.

Die Ferienanlage hat mir sehr gut gefallen

    from

    Loved the Resort

    from

We have just returned from a weeke-end at the Caribe Cove. The Resort is magnificent and the service incredible. Having the SPA in the privacy of your room was a plus. The staff very friendly and polite. The pool is lovely, Overall I would say this is probably the best Resort we have ever stayed in on holiday and I am extremely fussy! And the most convenient for theme parks. This is an absolute must.

This was an elaborate show unlike any I have seen at any theme park. This full 45min musical production had the most incredible sets and costuming! HUGE favourite of the day. Then we power walked it back to Africa in about 10min LOL to watch Festival of the Lion King show. Another elaborate highly entertaining production full ...

One of the most intense rides I've seen so I thought of best stay behind to take pictures to show you all. Next we walk around (the outside obvs) the tiger enclosure. We started hanging around Hogsmeade and took pictures of the Hogwarts Express and had lunch at the Three Broomsticks. I got rotisserie chicken and butterbeer and Simon got fish and chips and butterbeer. It was a lot of food, but tasty.

Next stop was Jurassic Park and we rode the log ride. Our luck decided to continue and we managed to get on the first row. ...
