    Architecture of Dreamland

One of the best things about Singapore is the fact that the architecture is intense just for the sake of being intense. A boat on top of a triple skyscraper? Sure! giant metal trees with the suspension bridge between them? Sure! And a walkway in the middle of the rain forest that goes over the treetops? Of course! And all of it is fabulous, especially the repurposed Olympic stadiums that are now botanical gardens (at least that appears to be the case). Singapore is an ideal ...

... I felt like was a plate of fruit, Peter had a meal, I did try a Singapore sling, had one on the plane which wasn't as nice as the sip I had of Peter's, wasn't that enthused about it, maybe it was because of the lateness of the evening. Tomorrow is our first day of sight seeing,

... get a bus, then a train and another bus to make our way to the zoo. It takes nearly 2 hours instead of the 30 minutes it would take in a taxi but it was definitely an experience and much cheaper. The zoo is massive! By far the nicest zoo we have visited, with native trees everywhere, natural landscaping and really nice enclosures, all surrounded by lakes and rivers. We get to try out our new camera and it was so worst the money! It will be a very value asset for the ...

... knowledeable about the country. He brought us to the largest Hawker centre in Singapore at an old airport. It was a lot busier than the one we went to earlier in the day. He mentioned that the true Hawker stands specialize in only a few dishes. Some of the dishes true to Singapore were the oyster omelet, bbq stingray, and satay. I had some stir fried sweet potato leaves with some hot sauce. Very tasty! We drank some fresh sugar cane. ...

... out into the stinking heat again-33 degrees and humid. I walked to Supertree Grove. It's where the massive, part real, part architectural, trees are. you can do a walk through the treetops called the skyway-it's a bridge that travels through the trees. It's only $5 but considering I hate heights and it was another hour in the heat, I decided to walk back to my hotel-no regrets there. Anyways I better go and pack. I have enjoyed my time in Singapore-it is a stunning city.
