The beach itself is hard packed sand and maybe due to the windy day there was lots of seaweed and the edge of the water itself is darker sand. Along the beach there are dozens of sun lounges for rent or are provided for different hotel guests. With the windy day there were also lots of humungous blue bottles so we stayed out of the water but did see some crazy people braving them.

selling. Also, we keep getting asked to buy weed, probably around 4-5
times a day. Miami has an island feel, except as soon as you leave the
beach you're greeted by big city nonsense instead of the community
feeling that you get in Hawaii or the Caribbean. We like it here, maybe
          not enough to come back.

We nervously boarded the plane, worried we would miss our connection from Dallas to Grand Junction. We were one full hour late when the plane pushed back from the gate at 17:00.

Shortly before the plane pushed back, an Army major sat in the window seat beside Leslie. He asked where we ...

We headed out into the Atlantic ocean for a bit of a play around in our 1000hp beast, before heading along South Beach.

Well we have cruised many times, big ships small sail boats but we were no prepared for such rough seas that we would have that awful feeling of seasickness! It has been rainy, cool, and rough seas - six to eight foot, rocking and rolling. We did manage to get up and go to the gym and use the elliptical ...
