Returning to Manila 4 days before my flight was something that wasn't supposed to happen but ended up being my reality due to misinformation. I left Sabang at around 2pm, my first mistake of the day. ... brother were leaving and heading back to the UK. We had to be up early and we all jumped in my dads cousin Darios mini van. I was really sad as i had to say goodbye again. After spending a month with my family in our 2nd home, we were going to all have to go our seperate ways again, and this time it wasn't going to be just 3 months till i'd see them again it would most likely be a year!

Fireworks on New Year's Eve is nothing new for an American, but the sheer volume and noise of the firecrackers, echoing in the narrow, smoke-filled alleys was definitely an experience. None of us lost a hand, or were hit by stray celebratory bullets, and so the new year truly is a happy one. It's my year...the Year of the Rabbit.
