... the zoo, oblivious to the animal cruelty happening in front of their eyes. This place left me scared.

... in town, which is a real shame as the valley is really beautiful and the people friendly. Like a lot of other places in Sumatra though there are hardly any tourists about. It’s good for those of us who are here because we ‘have the place to ourselves’ but i can’t help feeling sorry for the guesthouse and restaurant owners who have hardly any trade and are struggling to make a living. ... area, he was sweating and just looked so miserable and depressed, dead behind the eyes, he was just staring at a feather he had in his hand. oh my god it was terrible, no ropes, tyres, trees to swing on. We were so horrified by the whole place, there were more animals but it's upsetting me just writing this.

... us no mercy and we continue down with bated breath. Luckily it's all ok and we feel blessed to reach the bottom with no more battle wounds. We count ourselves lucky that other two falls we only have a small scrape each and no major wounds.
