It's sited well and the staff is friendly. All facilities are there, besides dump or wifi on the crowded campground. The RV park attracts people that stay there for a longer time and makes a sleazy impression. Campsites are far from leveled. No big deal if you plan on parking your trailer there for weeks and don't mind spending hours to level but a big deal for overnighters. Road throughout camp are basically bad maintained dirt roads with large potholes. Campsites are not clearly marked. But location is good as is the staff.

I'm not the beach type of guy. I like quiet bays and sunsets along the beach, but sun bathing for hours on a crowded beach isn't my cup of tea. I always like sitting in the shade more then in the sun. Now Lake Tahoe is basically one 53 km round beach. We are at south Lake Tahoe of which the most famous and scenic is Pope Beach. Pope Beach is near …

This weekend my hosts have taken me to their second home, on the North Shore of the beautiful Lake Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe is in two states- Cali and Nevada. The Nevadan side suffers from gambling.

We travelled to the North- Dollar Point. It is about a 2-hour drive from Sacramento. They have a wonderful alpine style cabin although don't be fooled- it is ginormous.

... matter what you were drinking, and that just seemed to kick it up a notch. But it all settled down and did I mention it was non-stop snowing the whole time? Well we all awoke to about 15+ inches of new snow on Monday morning, as we packed and cleaned up a bit, with some nasty hangovers, we had some lasagna for breakfast, waited for the snowplows to come thru and headed out but we all wanted to get over to Squaw to get a half day in on this ...
