... m wondering what I met get from Budget if I
complain about it when I get back home.

Punta Cana and Bavaro look like beautiful places for a
resort holiday, and I did consider a week timeshare trade as a possibility for
my Dominican vacation. The beach is lined with resorts, so there are rather few
access points to the beach for the public. All beaches in the D.R. are
technically public property, though, so you can walk or sit on the sand in
      front of ...

... It was about an hour hike each way through what’s characterized as tropical semi-dry forest. It was quite a nice hike along the beach and then a gradual ascent inland and not too hot or humid in the late afternoon.

Cueva de Los Manos is an impressive cave that I had all to myself, my headlight, and the bats. I felt quite confident the battery wouldn’t die or else be trapped in absolute blackness until the next visitors arrived, hopefully not later than the ...

Another day, another port. The Dominican Republic is the eastern side of the island of Hispaniola. The western side is Haiti. We docked at a port called La Romana. There are a few different things you can do here. We chose to visit some caves call Cueva de las Miravillas (the cave of miracles). It was a great option because we got to see a bit of the countryside, we had a very good taxi driver who told us a bit about the island life ...

... There's also a nice terrace area where they serve breakfast and the shower, oh the shower! There's a proper shower head and after a few minutes I noticed there's hot water. To be honest I didn't like the hot water, in this climate a hot shower is the last thing you want! But it was an amazing shower - best yet! Tomorrow I go on a tour to Isla Saona. When I've visited Bayahibe before ...
