Beautiful resort with a fantastic buffet breakfast just steps from the beach and the main strip but still wonderful quiet when you want time to relax

Historical Traveler Reviews Burasari Resort Patong
We stayed at the Burasari for 8 nights in Nov/Dec, 2005. The hotel is in a great position, and is only a 2 minute walk to patong beach and the shops. The breakfast is a must everyday! The restaurant has fairly priced meals and they alternate from Thai to Eupopean to Italian, so they cover all different appertites.
The hotel staff were very helpful, and the rooms were a good size.
It has a very central location, and is a 2 minute walk to the beach, there is a 7/11 next door for any snacks or bottled water you may need, and a supermarket about a 2 minute walk away aswell. If you walk the opposite way to the beach, in 3 minutes max you will find yourself in the markets (similar shops to the ones on the beach but more of them).
This hotel is definatly in the right location to everything and i would definatly recommend it to stay at if you want a clean comfortable hotel that is fairly priced.
We stayed at the Burasari for 8 nights and loved every minute of it!
The room was lovely, the service second to none and the setting was beautiful.
The pool was a good size and in a lovely area, surrounded by small waterfalls and palms, orchids and more.
The meals were excellent, with both thai and international menus. The breakfast each morning was also a real highlight.
The Burasari resort is almost hidden, in that it is very private and not too large. It was never crowded or too busy. It was a two minute walk to the beach and to the many retaurants along it. The location was perfect for all attractions as it was very central and we never needed a taxi or Tuk-tuk unless we left Patong.
We would definatley recommend the Burasari and would love to stay there again! A++
Excellent value, location, service
I spent four nights at the Burasari and was very pleased indeed. The room was good-sized, very pleasant and spotlessly clean, with a safe and good amenities. The location in Patong was excellent, just a few minutes walk from the beach and about halfway between two main shopping strips.
Staff was very accomodating and helpful, and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
Burasari offered five-star service at a budget price, and I'd stay here again.
Burasari, Phuket.....a real gem.
We had spent the previous three nights in Bangkok staying in the Ambassador Hotel (see review) before flying to Phuket for the final three nights of our week in Thailand during September. The break had been organised by Thai Airways, who also booked the hotels and transfers and the price, service and the quality of what they provided were all excellent.
The Burasari hotel is up a side street off the sea front with the beach literally two minutes walk away. the first thing you notice when you arrive are the peace and quiet which prevails in the hotel. There is a small reception area with comfortable recliners and stools and on checking in we were given a welcome cocktail before being shown to our room, a poolside access room on the ground floor. The hotel has three floors and no lift so anyone with a mobility problem, like myself, should mention this when booking.
Our room was well furnished in a pleasing contemporary Thai style with a nice bathroom with a window which opened to the bedroom. There was a sunken lounge area leading through the patio doors to a shaded sitting area outside with table and recliners if privacy was required. The pool was just a couple of metres outside here. Like the rest of the hotel, our room was spotlessly clean and has been furnished and decorated to a high standard.
We checked in at lunch time and decided to try the "eat all you can" lunch buffet in the hotel restaurant. At 99 baht each this has to be a real bargain. The food is very good and varied. We ate dinner here again one evening and enjoyed the set menu at 499 baht for two! This was also excellent although the portions could have been larger. The restaurant has a very romantic feel to it with an ornamental pool outside and flowering trees and plants. There are tables sited both inside and out in the open and as it also serves as the bar area it has a noticably relaxing ambience. The breakfast buffet is served here and this too is varied and of good quality with both western and local fare.
The pool tends to be the focal point for most guests and a waitress stationed there permanently ensures that food and drinks are available at all times. A line of comfortable recliners are provided under large umbrellas on the pool sides and the feeling of tranquility is enhanced by the the gentle sounds of the adjacent ornamental waterfalls and fountains.
Two massage tables are placed at the pools side or this service can be provided in your room.
Shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance, including some good, inexpensive seafood restaurants on the beach road.
This is one hotel we will definately like to visit again. It is a perfect hotel for couples who want to relax in peace and quiet but may not be so suitable for families with children as the pool and bar are the only entertainment in the hotel, although Patong beach is only a stones throw away.
Like the other reviewers, we thought that the Burasari was a real gem.
Tasteful and Comfortable
The Burasari Resort is exceptionally beautiful once you walk into the resort through its small unassuming entrance. The rooms are very tastefully furnished, though space might be at a premium since the resort itself is located on a very small plot of land. Sadly, there is no dedicated spa facility within the hotel, though you can still get a massage service in your own room.
The one thing I like most about the resort is the pool and the numerous fountains and artificial ponds... makes the environment so much more relaxing and peaceful. The staff is helpful and accommodating though greater proficiency in English would be a plus.
The resort is about 10-15 mins walk to Bangla Road. It's a rather far walk but it's not so bad since the road is lined with numerous shops.
All in all, the Burasari is a resort I'd love to return to. It's decently priced too especially if you're looking for somewhere that's romantic and comfortable and yet not having to burn holes in your pockets.
Boutique hotel in the middle of Patong
This is a lovely hotel in the middle of Patong. A 5 minute to the beach, bars or shops. It's tucked away so you don't have to worry about noise. The rooms are simple, but elegant. Rooms have huge beds. We booked a standard room, which was quite nice. Small bathroom. Shower/tub and a window that links the bathroom to the bedroom. Small balcony, but nice so you can dry your towels or wetsuit on it. From the outside, the pricer rooms seem to have larger balconies. Some rooms have direct pool access. With steps into the pool from your room.
When walking around you have to watch out for the low ceilings. Nice breakfast buffet and the restaurant looks quite good. If you want to stay in Patong, i would stay here. Rooms start around $39USD during the low season. We booked our room through hoteltravel
Convenient....... pleasant, clean.... Good value
We just came back from Phuket. Spent 2 nights at Burasari.... 25 Aug-27 Aug. Great experience. This hotel is in the middle of everything. Great location. Near the beach, near shops, eating places. And for !800Bht a night, this place is great. The room is clean and new. We plan to stay at Patong for 2 nights so as to soak up all the activities on the beach and then move to Twinpalms at Surin Beach for 1 quiet night.
The staff is very friendly and helpful..... always with a smile for everyone.
The minus points are the mosquitos during this rainy season and the small pool. But our intention is not to use the pool cos we wanted the beach and all the activities outside, so we don't mind at all.
This hotel is great for couples....... not so suitable for kids... we had our 4 year old girl with us and we find the place a little too small for her loads of energy.
Overall, I would recommend this place....... GREAT value for money, considering the location.
My girlfriend and I spent two nights at the Burasari from July 26-28 and had an unbelievable time. The staff was friendly and wonderful. The front desk was really helpful when we requested to move rooms. The free breakfast had a wide variety of food. Its only a 1 min walk to Patong Beach (although Kata Beach and Phansi Beach are nicer, by way of taxi). The rooms are nice and the ambience is great for couples.
An Oasis in the middle of it all
We stayed in the Burasari for 10 nights in December 2004, in room 1211, on our honeymoon. We loved the ambiance - it was tucked away in a right of way of a side street, 5 minutes walk (if that) to the Southern End of Patong Beach. The rooms were not large (we had a Garden View room, that was upgraded to a Pool View room) but they were well appointed, and the decorations very modern although very Thai. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the pool was fantastic - especially with the poolside service during Happy Hour. The breakfast buffet was very good, especially impressed with having eggs cooked to your order (choice of style, fillings...etc), and was a very nice way to wake up each day. I would stay there again.
stayed in this hotel feb 2004,found it to be as it says on their website which is a tranquil haven
just off a main street.1 min to beach and shops
patong is a resort with something for everyone
and well recomended

Today I woke up early, packed and took the ferry over from Koh phi phi to Phuket. Thank goodness this ferry was much nicer than the one over from krabi, so there was great AC. I napped almost the entire way. Then took a minibus to my hotel, Burasari. My room it's the cutest and the perfect size for me with a king sized bed. So many amenities at …
Patong is in many ways like most beach towns. It's set up for tourists and they were here in droves. Although there are temples and other cultural activities in the area, our plan was to lie around for these few days and not do much of anything. This lack of a plan is likely, at least partially, responsible for leading me astray.
... streets sans helmets. Helmets are rarely used and the death rate from accidents on any given day is quite sobering, as we realized from reading the local newspapers.
But Phuket is still a beautiful place, tropical, lush and hilly, surrounded by the warm Andaman Sea. We were actually staying in Karon Beach about one hour north east of Phuket. The resort we stayed at was wonderful, with amazing views of the sea from our balcony and the top deck pool. The ...
