      Our Christmas vacation continues. We continue to have good road conditions, however, the cold prairie winters we remember have descended upon us the last few days.       Started the day with a stop at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. It’s like a huge school gymnasium with a stage for shows, and all the murals, inside and out, are made with various colours of corn cobs. Very cool actually.

      It rained today, for most of the day. It let up a little bit in the mid-afternoon, but mostly it rained. From what I've heard from Mid-westerners, this is fall weather. Meaning it shouldn't last, meaning typical summer weather, sunshine with bouts of thunderstorms, which I can handle, should come back soon. Despite the weather, today was a good day.
