It was raining when we awoke this morning in Hazard Kentucky at the Hampton Inn so we were pleased to have a rest day to do laundry, repair bikes and just relax a bit before heading into the hills once again. ... supplies, packed lunches, and headed off to meet our family.

Our family is really nice! The mother's name is Nicole, and she is 22. The father is Wilburn, and he is 26. They have 2 kids, Isaac, who is 6, and Isabella, who is 8 months. They were excited to see us and very appreciative of all the work that was going to be done. Our tasks included building 2 dry walls, finishing the kitchen tile floor, putting down laminate floors in the living room, and fixing ...

... but no need to get specific. The rest of us, safely inside, finished priming the whole room, and portions of the bathroom, just in time for lunch. When everyone was done eating, we went back into the master bedroom and painted the dried primer with a brown the color of a melting Hershey bar. The homeowner’s eldest son made the much expected comment about how the color “looked like poop”. We arrived back at the center covered in paint and ready for ...
