... s planned surf lesson, when she saw someone get hit in the face by a wave.

I signed up and before I knew it was standing with several other nervous looking people in a rash vest in a circle on the beach, all with gigantic foam surf boards. After a few pointers we made our way out (Noosa is a good place to learn as it's shallow so you can wade out) and tried to catch some waves. It really is harder than it looks but I managed to just about stand up once ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia yelleandjon... so our thoughts instantly thought of our mate Gus and his family who live in Fiji. We tried to put this out of our minds and both got engrossed in our books. After a few stop offs all was well until the bus driver slammed on his brakes and the driver shouted out "Oh Sh.." i'd been looking out the side window as we were just going over a bridge, my eyees shot forward and looking underneath the sun screen that was pulled down to give the driver some shade I ...

Noosa, Queensland, Australia suziebabe007... We finish up and head back and I do feel really sick but manage to keep it in this time. As soon as we hit solid ground I feel so much better. We unpack and I get chatting to Tim and find they are heading up to Noosa that afternoon and he offers me a lift. We head to the cafe near the dive shop and I meet his wife (who has just found out shes pregnant so cant dive). She eyes me suspiciously and they bicker a bit about the camper van, they are a bit rah ...
Maloolaba, Queensland, Australia clairebr... room. Great, what can you do then. All we did from then on was surreptitiously change the fan in the night as we both woke up from the heat and they would change it back in turn. And not a word was said to each other. The next day we jumped aboard the free bus from Noosa to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. Now a major tourist attraction partly due to his death and of course because of the fact of the zoo itself. The zoo was about an ...

Steam bellowing out the stack on the engine, and the constant "rattle - rattle -rattle" "clickerty-clack, clickerty-clack" as you were gently "rock and rolled" in your seats. It was truly a wonderful experience. The scenery of the Queensland country side was lush ...

Gympie, Australia tylerv... main base for the opposition against the dam is housed. The community spirit from that place was amazing, everyone pulling together and fighting the cause. We signed the petition against the dam being built - thought it seemed a worthy cause - and I hope they win. After all this political stuff we went up to the farm and chris pointed out the horses - they've got 4 - and the cattle - 700 in total! He took us up to overlook the farm on top of this massive hill ...
Gympie, Australia smiffy... a decent atmosphere to it, alot more backpackers were there rather than the oldies living in the caravans we shared plots with at the site the previous night before. Pretty much the whole of our time in byron was spent surfing, ahhh its a hard life!!!! The sun was baking hot everyday and mike and i pretty much surfed from morning til dusk everyday. We did manage to walk to cape byron and go to the most eastern point of the Australian mainland, admired the views, watched the sun set ...
