... fun than the girls. :) For dinner we were invited over to the Whitlark-Baker place. <br><br>7th Day - Friday we walked around town and did some shoppping. We had kebabs for lunch. We enjoyed a little hot tub and sauna action that afternoon. We ate in for dinner. We enjoyed pizza, beer, and Pipsqueak cider. The best cider ever!
Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia tripleb... br>Matt, I found this little trivia in an Australian newspaper. I thought you'd find it amusing:<br>"Public toilets are being introduced in Lithuania that lock users in if they take longer than five minutes. Klaipeda council approved the measures to prevent theft and vandalism. After five minutes, a blocking system bars the doors. The trapped punters then have to call a specialist to let them out".<br><br>I wouldn't want to be constipated in there...<br><br>
Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia llessard2011... the Vietnam War and the first Gulf War. The ship was decommissioned in 2001 and sunk for wreck dives off the coast. The first dive we circled the ship and the second dive we swam through the boiler room, engine room, gallies, etc. It was impressive. In 4 years, the ship has quickly started turning into a reef, and we saw barracuda, octopus, angel fish, lion fish. After that we dove in the 3.5-meter deep ...
Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia bradandsandi... travelled in-land to find a campsite in a more sheltered position and ended up at Forest Glen; predictably in the middle of a forest. That evening we enjoyed a BBQ of organic steaks and sausages from the local organic butcher; cooked whilst having a beer and watching Home and Away on the camp kitchen TV - heaven! After a busy day we were early to bed but were woken up several times in the night by very heavy rain storms.
Buderim, Queensland, Australia claireandmark... Wer ...
Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia pacificocean... great gourmet sandwiches and nibblies. i was super stoked to say the least... "sweet as" as the locals would say. so things seem to be falling into place for me--God must have heard all my frantic prayers before i left New Zealand! my plan for now is to work for a few months here and save enough to travel north along the coast to Cairns and Port Douglas come winter, say march/april, when it's no longer ...
Bli Bli, Queensland, Australia katelin... as coming across them in the wild. It was going dark as we drove back to Mooloolaba and the clouds were gathering. A storm was forecast to hit the coast in the next couple of days. Wednesday 23rd July It had started raining during the night and as we got up it was absolutely lashing it down. The high winds were driving big surf onto the nearby beach, which was initially only just visible in the thick, low cloud. As the cloud lifted slightly we could see two or ...
Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia harryandnorah... was a koala up a tree, my first wild koala spot -yea! We walked for about 30 minutes round the park before Ryan had had enough. Considering Noosa wasn't on the original plan and we only stopped there to go to the Zoo, it turned out to be a little find. The place was really nice and the hostel wasn't too bad either. Our next destination is back to citylife in Brisbane.
Noosa, Queensland, Australia tripofalifetime... The girl that I had been paired with wasn't exactly an outdoorsy type of girl (Putting it mildly), anyway she wasn't paddling too hard so I was constantly paddling trying to keep up with the rest of the group, it would tighten you after a while!! After that we had a 6km walk up hill to have a look at a sand dune which was cleverly called "the Sand Patch" haha. It is called this because it is a big patch of sand in the middle of the forest ...
Noosa, Australia smc_mahon... growing. Names such as Mother of Millions and Mother-in-Laws Tongue speak to the aggressive reproductive powers and painful nature of these plants. As opposed to working John, Chris requires each person or groups of people to cook one night of the week. Lacking any real interest in cooking American food, I offered to do a Mexican food night. This stunning meal consistent solely of a do-it-yourself taco bar, which worked really well ...
