    Having left Booti Booti our next stop was to the Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie. Not only was it amazing but more importantly it was admission by donation. The site cared for 15-20 koalas who had been injured mainly due to dog attacks or bush fires and they are amazing animals. They only eat young eucalyptus leaves which are so toxic that 20% of their energy is used just to neutralise the toxins in them. Consequently when they are ...

    ... Big Banana" on the left hand side of the road. This is a model of a banana, the first of Australia's "Big things" - large scale sculptures of stuff used for advertising.
