The tide was out, which meant that of one was going to swim on the far end of the beach, one would have to walk about a mile first and then still only be up to one's thighs.

The temperature today was absolutely perfect, sunny, but with a sea breeze to balance the heat of the sun. We had not walked the length of Hastings street, ...

Well while out we sheltered in a women’s clothes shop. Oh

Soon however the heat caught up with us, oh and tiredness, so around one o’clock I fell asleep on a wooden bench seat, to be followed by Annemieke who nodded off while sitting up reading her book at the same table! ...
