    ... were happy to be able to chill in the car so early in the morning. We headed to Hot Springs and arrived bright and early. After breakfast we explored Hot Springs National Park. The boys loved the brief hike we took and thought that the old bath house was really cool.

    In the morning we are off to Eureka Springs, by way of Arkansas Scenic Route 7. Looking forward to some great scenery, and maybe a little cave exploration along the way.

    ... ride. Unfortunately, the Natchez Trace runs South to North, and we are now traveling East to West. No beautiful West/East roads in Mississippi. US-82W was a nice road, just flat, straight, and boring. Nothing but poverty and cotton fields on both sides of the road as far as the eye could see. Only good thing we saw was gas for $2.19 per gallon just before we got to Arkansas. Even Arkansas ...

    After leaving Memphis in the afternoon we stopped in the small town of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
