I didn't realise there was a place on earth so beautiful. It literally took my breath away staying on this beach in such amazing huts on a beach that is just paradise. Everything here was perfect.

After we had finished this we headed off back to our shack and had a shower then headed out to 'Fizz Bar' - as Brenda says 'it was a bit funky'. Waiting for our tuna steak and chicken wrapped in Palma ham (obviously Ben's is the latter!) drinking a few cocktails, naturally. We miss you all! ...

    ... The remaining trip took
us for a rough ride around the east coast before settling at the
Nangyuan islands which are three very small islands connected by sand
walk ways at low tide; very beautiful but very touristy. The
snorkelling here was good though and not too busy as most people were
busy cooking themselves on the beach.

Next morning and it was now time to
leave Koh Tao, a well organised ferry plus bus journey got us to
    Krabi by the afternoon.

... faulty when they gave it to me, but in fairness I hadn't checked it. Inevitably, when we got there they wanted to take it out of my deposit despite my insistence that it was faulty when they gave it to me. I could just about live with that, but they were annoying me, because they were being really confrontational for no reason, then they tried to charge me the retail price to replace the strap. It clearly isn't on that they make money ...

Ko Tao was our last stop in the Thai islands and where we met up with Elinor again after Laos. It is much smaller than the other islands and basically consists of one main strip of resorts running for a couple of miles up Sairee beach from the Pier. There are other resorts dotted around the island but you can only get there by boat or by foot. I'd say this is the closest you're going to get to 'off the beaten track' in these islands as it has not yet ...
