          Day 13

Because of the 2 hour time change we were up with the sun and the birds the following morning. Since the campground was adjacent to the Saguaro National Park, we were able to take a trail out into the desert right from our campsite for a lovely walk among the red-blossomed ocatillos and flowering cactuses, glowing in the early morning light. There is a reason that ...

You first hike through the desert along a sandy trail going through cactus and ocotillo trees then around 1.8 miles in it turns to boulders. We navigated over and around boulders to arrive at a ...

... here :) Thats not the disturbing part of it. We found out yesterday as we checked in that there is a "clothing optional" pool...oh boy...just what I want to see...elderly people naked. Oy! Luckily we are NOT facing the "clothing optional" pool....whew! There is another pool that does require bathing suits so if we ever decide to check out the pool we will visit that one. Its approaching 8:15 pacific time now so it time to brush the teeth and get ready for our hikes. ...
