Since the campground was adjacent to the Saguaro National Park, we were able to take a trail out into the desert right from our campsite for a lovely walk among the red-blossomed ocatillos and flowering cactuses, glowing in the early morning light. There is a reason that ...

It took us a day longer than we wanted but we finally packed up, sold or gave away all of our belongings and started on the road! Thanks so much to everyone that helped us pack up and get ready for our
trip...Seamus & Debra, Rowly & Chris, Sarah & Todd, Nancy,
Gayle, and Doc. We will miss all of our SoCal friends!

The Uhaul U-box pod is packed to the brim and in a warehouse waiting for us to tell Uhaul where to deliver it. Our ...

          Hellhole Canyon hike

Mondays hike was a good strenuous hike that had a mix of everything....sand, rock scrambling, cactus, palm trees and a waterfall. The Hellhole Canyon Trail is 5.2 miles long round trip to the waterfall. You first hike through the desert along a sandy trail going through cactus and ocotillo trees then around 1.8 miles in it turns to boulders. We navigated over and around boulders to arrive at a ...
