A friendly hotel
the first thing i noticed when we were going through the formalities of what would be our 3-day stay at this hotel is its friendly staff and the laid-back atmosphere. the rooms were great, although the one we had didnot have a bath tub. if your idea of a vacation is to relax and just let time pass and enjoy every minute of it, then this is the place for you. although the breakfast buffet was not what i was used to, having been to other hotels that have wide varieties to offer on their menu that just suits a voracious glutton like me, it still made me feel like i was having a good old-fashioned home cooked meal. although i might try a beachfront hotel next time, i still think this hotel is a great one, and i can't over-emphasize how the friendly staff made our stay a memorable one... and a million thanks to my eternal friend...
This place is a winner!!
I loved our stay at Boracay Tropics. The place is magnificent, the rooms were great and clean, the breakfast buffet was superb!! The place is small, quiet and relaxing. It makes you want to stay inside the resort and enjoy the peace and tranquil surrounding.
However, if you are looking for a place that is closer to the beach then this is not it. It's a 3 minute walk to the beach and it is far away from the night-life. But, for me personally, it was all worth it.
We enjoy our stay in Boracay Tropics. It was truly a very nice hotel to stay. The location is just right. Few walks from the beachfront and far enough with the noise and too much people. A family resort as it is and a serene place to enjoy Boracay. The people are geniunely nice and friendly. The housekeeping and dining staff are commendable. We love the pool and the landscape. We will surely come back in this hotel. Truly an A+++ for us!!!

A whole new experience
Boracay Tropics (a whole new experience)
i did'nt tell my Girlfriend where we will be staying in Boracay, It was a surprise for her.
When we arrived in the jetty port from a tiring land trip from kalibo she saw our names written on a white board that was being carried by a man wearing a boracay tropics shirt. instantly she knew that we were staying at that hotel, but she did'nt know that hotel exist in Boracay. The guys immediately carried our bags all the way to their boat. I saw my girlfriend smiled. That was a sign of relief.
When we arrived at the hotel, We were amazed how beautiful the place was. (I have taken some pics) They have a swimming pool situated in the middle, they have a beautiful landscape. The pictures will speak for itself.
We had no problems with the staff, everyone was very accomodating and was always smiling.Thank you Boracay tropics for upgrading our room from standard to cabana. Thanks to the people in their manila office. Wow, was the very word my girlfriend said when we were taken to our room. I felt the same. The room was very clean and it was like a 5 star hotel room. I made the right choice, i said to myself. 5 star accomodation for a low price. We got the Barkada package, check their site [-]boracaytropics[-] for more details. I got there website in tripadvisor's forum.
Breakfast buffet was included in the package. The food was excellent. 200 pesos for non guests to avail of their breakfast buffet. We asked our friend to join us for breakfast, he had no regrets paying 200 bucks for the meal. it was sobrang sulit, he said. Included in the package was a dinner for 2. You have a choice from 3 set meals, we chose set B. Again it was perfect.
We even stayed another day not minding paying the extra day at their regular rate. Thats how we love the hotel. All in all our stay in Boracay tropics was the best. We have been to Boracay several times but this time we can say, was the best!
Relax in this Family Friendly Resort
I have been to Boracay several times with my young kids and stayed in diff. resorts. This time we tried the few month old Boracay Tropics and I was very happy. The rooms are spacious, nicely interiored and they are generous with the extra beds/breakfasts. My kids spent a lot of time in the nice pool. The resort is not at the beach front and has a perimeter wall and nicely landscaped garden surrounding the pool. These things make you feel relaxed and away from the hustle and bustle, perfect when you have kids. You'll feel safe having them run around and yet the beach is just afew minute away.
Perfect getaway for friends and families..not for lovers
My husband and i wanted to relax and leave the bustle and hustle of the city living so we decided to spend quality time in boracay (for the holy week trip)...The room was clean, but lacks facilities/toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shower cap, slippers, bath robe, do not disturb and make up room signages, and esp. blow dryer --can you believe that? i have visited most of the best and simplest resorts all over the world and even the simplest or a 3 star resort provides a hair dryer for each room (thats what the women need the most!!!)... anyways, the service provided by the man who picked us up from the airport and the restaurant staff at the boracay tropics were great (esp. cathy who has always been attentive and smiling and some of the guys staff --i dont know the names coz they didnt put on their name tags--sorry couldnt give you good compliments!!!--better put your nametags next time to get noticed and complimented when needed)...regarding the front desk staff/officer , we are not satisfied with their service...they are not really friendly, not accomodating, not approachable, not really courteous especially the ladies...they simply are not smiling..i also noticed that the front desk staff named eunice and divine, wouldnt even bother to smile as the customers walk in the lobby, arriving from a tiring walk to the beach ...i would rather recommend the restaurant staff to be assigned at the front desk (it seems like they know this job better than them) to set your clients moods and be more satisfied with the service...who would want to see a poker-faced during a holiday trip???
also, we were not quite satisfied with the breakfast buffet that they offered coz there are only few choices so we decided to eat out for lunch...But generally, the hotel was great, well kept coz its new (4 month old) although we encountered frequent black outs during our stay (blame it on the boracay current/electricity provider)...Though it's not a beachfront resort located in station 2, it was quite ok for us coz it would only take like 3-5 minute walk to get to the white beach..and close to the tourist center.
we just considered this as a warm up before dipping into the beach...I was expecting a real clear water of the beach but to my surprise, the water have too much green moss that you would even consider swimming in the pool rather than staying in the beach...maybe only for sunbathing, castle building, eating out, bar hopping and witnessing the sunset would be a great idea too...If you want to drink melon mango shake, i would recommend the jonahs shake located at station 1 for only p82 bucks,,..u can ride a tricycle for p40 per couple...
also the shenna's beachfront restaurant for their sumptous freshly grilled dishes---squid, lapulapu, red snapper, tanigue, liempo and most especially the live crab cooked in butter garlic sauce for only p300-400 per piece, it will truly satisfy your cravings!!! and make sure to look for john (waiter) who would provide you with the best and quick service so we gave him a big tip!!!..as we walk along the beach, we noticed the busiest and noisiest place ive seen and thats the boracay regency where they play live band and offers buffet dinner for only p450...we were curious so we decided to try on their meal but were truly disappointed coz we dint get a seat right away and the waiters were not really attentive...if you dont yell at them, they wouldnt mind you...in fact, we didnt like the food, my husband and i
spent p1300 and it wasnt worth it!!!
so the next evening, we headed back to shennas resort/restaurant where we truly enjoyed the food and hospitality of the
staff/waiters and got to spend only less than p1k for a sumptous crab, grilled squid, lapu lapu, fresh buko and 2 mango shakes..
i would truly go back to boracay with my other friends and family!!!
Loved Boracay Tropics
I really liked our stay at the Boracay Tropics Resort. The resort is very clean (2 months old). The staff was great. It's a 3-minute walk to the beach, which didn't bother me. Oh ya, and the complimentary breakfast was very good. I definitely recommend this resort.

We stopped on a little beach for lunch, which was really good considering they cooked it on a little grill at the back of the boat. While we were eating, an ice cream man pulled up in a boat. It even had ice cream van music! We then went to an island that some German guy had built a house on. It looked abandoned, but our guide says he comes over once a year to stay there. The next morning, I was awoken before dawn by the crowing of not one, but several roosters which we now know live on either side of us. They are also time challenged since they continue to crow most of the day, finally stopping around 5 in the evening, but that’s about the only thing I have to complain about. The beach is fine ...
... I must have looked a right show especially at times when I gave up and just decided to drag it from place to place. Getting it on the wobbly tiny boat in the dark was the most challenging part and definitely the most embarrassing. To get onto the boat you have to climb down a steep ladder that is precariously balanced on the decking and then squeeze through a doorway designed for midgets. Considering my bag sits higher than my head it made it literally impossible to ...

I walked past lots of 'locals' houses. They were fascinating. I wish I could have spent more time just watching all the people busying themselves about the little shack houses, gardens and snack shops. I wondered to myself what they all do, what their daily schedules entail, how they live, how they get by, their relationships, their families, how they all relate to each other - I was interested in the intricacies ...
