One last thing we wanted to do before we left Mexico was to swim with whale sharks. The Mexican government has control as to when tourists are allowed to book tours, to give the whale sharks space at the start of ...

... were picked up from the station by Aude and Santiago, who kindly dropped us at our hotel, Riviera Caribe Maya, a few blocks away.

After quickly throwing our bags in our poolside room and changing into more weather appropriate shorts and t-shirts we walked down to the main strip, 5th Avenue, for drinks and a catch up.
