      ... stamped them to death. No more snakes! Amazing! Back to the boat about 3pm. About 4pm an announcement was made for two people. Again at 4.30 - sailing time!! The pilot was on board and apparently no sign of this couple. We were on our balcony to watch as we prepared to sail. Lots of others were aware of the saga unfolding too. Would they sail without them!?!? 4.45 then 5.00 and still no sign of anyone. Gangplank pulled in and by 5.15 we had ropes off and were about 2 or 3 metres ...

      I (last minute) decided to do my open water scuba diving course in Lindos before I left so spent the beggining of this week studying and diving all day long. AMAZING! I've finished now and am qualified to dive anywhere in the world. Can't wait to use it in the Great Barrier Reef... I'm going to find Nemo!!!

      ... up to a castle at the top which like many medieval fortresses replace Greek and roman temples and reused much of the marble from the prior temples. The view of the Aegean sea from the top was amazing. The top of the castle had ancient roman rooms. You could take a donkey up to the top, but we were advised against it as some people fall off and get injured. I got a nice linen pants and almost left ...

      Also located in the Agean Sea and also,the island group's historical capital. Historically, Rhodes was famous worldwide for the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Sven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Medieval Old Town of Rhodes has been declared a World Heritage Site and was of more interest to us than Mykonos. There are 11 gates to access this old city and can only be entered on foot.       ... with the window open and it was very hot. Well, she had a solution. Another room is now open; it's in the back and it's stone, floor and ceiling! There is a window open to the kitchenette (noisy in the morning) and another overt her door to the hall. We only get limited circulation from the windows and the very high ceiling fan. So, it is quiet at night, but it is a bit stifling. But ...
