One nice thing about only having to drive for around 5 hours a day is that you have time to do what you want and not rush doing it :)
When we arrived last night, we read that Cuba was famous for the many murals painted on buildings around town and decided to walk/drive around to see them all before Day 2 on highway. Very informative and fun. Very cute small town. So glad we spent time here!

... Lots of interesting history from the 12 women who originally explored it, to the days as an underground speakeasy, to the concerts held down there for years! I am so glad I stopped. It is the only drive-through cavern in North America, and there are only 3 others in the world.
Tomorrow, heading for Mason, Ohio. There's snow on the way here, but I think I will miss most of it (fingers crossed)!
This resort is another one with a beautiful pool (and another one available to us through Resort Parks International).
We went into Hermann, toured the Stone Hill Winery, the Hermann Wurst Shoppe, stopped in a Brewery (for Greg, of course), and then had a bite of BBQ. A good day, despite the oppressive heat (which seems to be the theme of this summer's travels!)

We spoke with some locals who curate the place and who told us stories of his life, before jumping back into our rather more modern (but much less characterful) hire car to push on down the road.
