Plan was to head south a little first to make the crossing easier. Gulf stram starts about 6nm out so we tried to use the counter current to get some southing but the wind angle was wrong to do it. We tried for a while then gave up and folowed the rhum line to bimini. Rhum line is just the straight course to you destination. Unfortunatly nothing to do ...

Mornings start out with Cinnamon or Guava Buns from the bakery.

... different. We started out trolling and caught a nice size King Mackerel. We don't eat Mackerel so we threw him back. Then, I pulled in 1/2 of a bonita..........I guess a shark got the other half. Of course, they are not good for eating either. A friend of Mary Gail and Milton Holcombe gave us some spots to ...

... the Great Bahama Bank. Seeing as the sun was setting much faster than we were approaching Bimini, we opted for the latter. Caleb kept watch while Pete and I poured over the charts and cruising guides to settle on a destination - tomorrow is my birthday after all. We want to choose the sweetest option!

We had been told that Chub Cay in the Southern Berry Islands was a good spot to anchor as it is quite protected but upon further review ...
