... a camper, but a resident of Kanarraville. He lived next door in a trailer with a bunch of chickens. He was busy corralling his rooster around my van when he introduced himself. Yup. Small town. Thought it was best to leave Roxi IN the van at that point. He waved me over to his place once the rooster was lassooed and gave me a half dozen fresh farm egss...technically free range as they walk about the main road just in front ...
Kanarraville, Utah, United States turtletales... the bottom of a space ship may look like, round with circular formations of lights. Brett and I are convinced that these drawings must have been of E.T. Seriously, it is something to think about, who knows.

I climbed up the hill to look into a cave. The path was somewhat difficult with loose rocks and fairly steep incline. When I got to the cave I looked back and Cleo was following me up the climb, I couldn’t believe my heel-wearing, and purse ...
Cedar City, Utah, United States cochranfamily... to hike down the Canyon. Hiking down is actually harder, I think, than hiking up--the path is so slippery going down; I slipped several times, which is terribly dangerous and scary because there's no railing or anything to keep you from falling down the Canyon. But it's a lot easier to keep steady footing going up. Afterwards, we took showers-- $2 for 8 minutes! What a ripoff. So tacky ...
Cedar City, Utah, United States klimczak... he races around fixing somethings for Santa - just in case Santa remembers where he is. No milk and cookies for Santa this year. Zac decides a couple of very small gingerbreads, a low fat yoghurt and a bottle of water are what Santa will need. His reasoning is that Santa has too many cookies and too much milk. He needs to have some good food (his idea, not ours). He finds a place next to the fire place to leave his snack and he makes sure ...
Cedar City, Utah, United States cdcass... outside in our canvas chairs and sipped wine from plastic cups (we appear to have mislaid our wine goblets) whilst reading "The Virginian" (MJ) and spotting stars (Chrissy) - three if you're interested, kinda different from Oregon. The REALLY good thing was that it wasn't hot - just very pleasant like an English summer evening. This cooped up in hotel rooms with occasional forays into the heat isn't good for our mental health.
Cedar City, Utah, United States marty_chrissieThis morning, we rented all the gear necessary for the hike of the narrows... & it was the most spectacular hike i've ever done. i'm not that big on heights (esp. when there's nothing higher than me or pure emptiness around) so this was perfect: it was feet in the water with the walls of the canyon on either side. We had big hiking shoes with a waterproof neoprene lining & a long stick to stabilize ...
Zion National Park, Utah, United States oceanspiritZion, UT to Las Vegas, NV I awoke and decided to scale one more mountain before leaving the park. It was a strenuous but rewarding climb. Unfortunately there was no sea in sight from the peak, so I decided I should continue westward even more. I returned to my ship and headed away. After a few hours, I passed lights and billboards and towers and pyramids and pieces of ...
Zion, Utah, United States oldsalty... only allows us to stay at ones that fall into the budget category. However our luck couldn't last forever, when we'd previously looked on the internet, it implied that there were hardly any hotels in Cedar City, so we counted ourselves lucky to find one at $47 per night. As we pulled into Cedar City though, we saw absolutely loads of hotels and they were all cheaper than the price that we'd paid. Our hotel was ...
Cedar City, Utah, United States dandewey1974... Wants to Be A Millionaire without the annoying breaks for commercials. Up I stepped and pulled ******* the handle. Ding. Ding. Ding. Three matches. There were flashing lights. I had won the third prize!!! I was so excited. What would my riches be? Would I now be rolling in money and joining the other high rollers on the strip. Alas no. Third prize was two VIP tickets to the variety show at the Aladdin. A nice prize but not enough to ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States overseas_ash... highest point on the mountain. I continued up the trail. The trail got steeper and narrower with sheer drop-offs on both sides and there were chains installed to offer assistance. I had a grin on my face the entire way to the top and I was rewarded with a bird's eye view into the valley. This was my most favorite hike ever and I found out later it made the top ten hikes in Backpacker Magazine. My day was not done after I completed Angel's Landing and I drove to my next hike called ...
