    Great Place to stay!

    from

Great place to stay. Room was large and nice. I would consider it a great place for a family for it has a kitchen in it and is on beach.

Request to be 3rd floor or higher for view. Construction of new place next door was a bit noisy in am. Construction office is downstairs converted room. Requested a late check out of one extra hour and was denied! ??? Good experience overall. Try the Greek restaurant down the street north one mile. Great food!

    Great Location

    from

We had our second visit to The Best Western Pelican Beach resort. Our first visit was about 5 years ago when the resort had several different buildings. At first, I was sorry to hear that this was no longer the case, but I was pleasantly surprised. If you are looking for a family oriented resort, I would strongly recommend the Pelican Beach resort.

Im sure couples would feel the same. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I do look forward to visiting again once the new building is completed.

    LOVE The Pelican!

    from

My husband and first stayed at the Pelican 11 years ago while still in college and have gone every year, sometimes 2 and 3 times ever since.

The staff has stayed the same friendly bunch from our first trip, which is saying something about the resort. Renovations will only make the place better than it already is! We consider it our home away from home.

Not as advertised in internet!! -

    from

I called to reserve one of the effiencies that they advertise on the internet. They told me that they no longer have any kitchens or kitchenettes. thought you should know.

    Loved this resort!!!!

    from

We have been staying at this resort for over 4 years now. The kids love it. DIrectly on the beach. Wonderful staff. We even know them by name.

Real family atmosphere. Very relaxing vacation. Beautiful. Cant wait to go back. Nice to sit on the balcony, overlook the ocean and watch nature at its finest. A+ in my book. Outstanding vacation.DIna Shelly/Tom Kendorski

    Great family place

    from

Found this place after checking out of another property down the road that was awful. The staff was so helpful, and made sure that our stay was comfortable and clean. The suite was great, 2 seperate rooms, an eating area and kitchenette. We had a king bed, a queen size murphy bed and a single pullout sleeper. Plenty of room for us and the 3 kids!

Plus a balconony overlooking the ocean. My husband travels on business to this area a few times a year, and we plan to make this our regular stop! Can't wait for the new 11 story building they are working on to be finished!

    Wonderful!

    from

I stayed at the Pelican Beach Resort when I was in Ft. Lauderdale to look at a school for my son. We both loved it. It is right on the beach, the view is wonderful, the rooms were clean and large, and all of the people associated with the hotel are great! We have already booked our rooms for our trip back in several weeks.

    Excellent choice!

    from

We took our five grown children, spouses, and grandchildren there and we all loved it - and went again two years later. The grandchildren still talk about having breakfast on the deck, swimming in the pool, and walking on the beach. We will return again next year - it's our together time - wonderful memories - comfortable accomodations - and the beach feels like it's our own.

Pre or Post Cruise Place to Stay

    from

Great pre or post cruise stay on the beach. Staff are very friendly and a good value compared to the pricier hotels close to the Port Everglades. Have stayed there many times and will again.

    On the Beach

    from

On our first trip to Ft. Lauderdale, my husband and I had no idea of where to stay. I found this hotel in a guide book. It was the only one I found that was on the beach. The rooms were nothing special, but the beach was nice and it had a great heated pool. I would stay there again.

... boat is that we probably will not run into them again. We also met a really nice Australian couple at the muster drill. We got kicked out by the crew because we stayed too long talking to the couple. I’m really not into soccer but it’s always fun watching sports on the boat because it unites all of these people from different countries and we met a ton of people that we otherwise might not have ...

On Sunday 16 August we went on a Motorcoach tour to Miami's sights and neighborhoods. The tour drove through the famous South Beach Art Deco District, with a stop at South Beach so we could get sand between our toes. Art Deco is a style of architecture that, in its heyday of the 1920s and 1930s, used to be considered ultramodern. In Miami, Art Deco is marked by the pastel-hued buildings that line South Beach and Miami Beach. We went into Downtown Miami and were ...

... him a twenty and asked for the change. Not having the correct change, the driver had to get the hotel to exchange the bill to supply Graeme with his change....no tip. This was our second incident with taxi drivers since arriving in the states. The last time, when we had arrived in Chicago and was being taxied to the hotel, the driver never got out of the cab...we unloaded our luggage while he sat in the driver's seat. I was tempted to walk away and make ...

The week started off chilled. Tuesday evening was a movie and wine night. Didn't get through one movie, as usual. Wednesday I spent the whole day in my pj's, looking for work and waiting to hear from the owners. At 6 a bunch of us went to the Triton networking event, apparently great to meet people and network with other yachties. I felt more like a prostitute selling myself to hungry captains. Not my type of event. Ellen and I then went to Tap 42, ladies night. We ...

A safe landing, despite David's usually assertion that "These things go down!" He's getting sooooo much better at this flying thing. He's come a long way from that "White-knuckle" flier that I encountered way back on our first trip together to Mexico. Xanax works!!! Of course things didn't go off without a hitch. ...
