A great little find just out of town on the road to Shute Harbour. The apartments are lovely and have everything you need and more. The owners are very helpful. Loved it. We stayed 3 nights and relaxed, it was very welcome.

There are some lovely old buildings and we note the local sugar mill is up and running, no tours however. It is the story of many a country town with lots of empty shops and not many people about. We do the town walk then head for the local park for lunch at ...

... to our spot for the night.. Sounds nice right? It was more like crossing the Scottish Northen Seas in December, well maybe not that bad, but I learnt that seasickness is a real thing and although trying to distract ourselves with cards we were all eventually sat on the back deck pretty glum, staring out to the horizon (it's meant to help). However, it did only last an hour and when we got to calmer seas, the group began to relax and chill and we all got to know each other ...

We will see what the next month or so brings, as this will be a big part of our decision making on our direction from here. Until the next instalment, enjoy and stay ...
