    ... lot of people there it looks pretty empty. There was also a bar that had swings as seats at the bar, so we had to try that! You couldn't really go wrong on food and drinks. We found a nice cafe near our hotel called Sweet Magnolia and went there for breakfast almost every day. We went to the beach most days and took the bikes available at the hotel for a few bike rides, ...

    Something I found about Bali is that no matter how cheap you pay for your accommodation, it is always great value. We have slept in some pretty bad looking rooms, dealt with bed bugs, been awaken during the night by various noises, we encountered a rat once crawling around the room, bad smell, sheets that never get washed, no sheets at all, squatting toilets, ...

    ... before heading into town again, for a few beers and maybe catching the FA cup final, though we are not sure what time that will start here!

    We end up at the Laser sports bar and have a meal and a few drinks, however, we have Just found out that the FA cup final does not start until midnight here and they are not sure that they will be able to get it! Never mind, feeling tired we head home, our beds are calling for us, haha...

    ... the insanely small international terminal for two more hours.
    I remembered the KK airport being quite modern and having a few places to eat, but now I realize that was the domestic terminal.
    So I had some super salty fries and played solitaire on my laptop.

    The flight to Bali was fine, fairly uneventful.
    I met some nice English teachers in the airport who tipped me off that there's a music festival in Ubud while I'm on Bali, so I'm going to treat myself ...

    ... 30 we took the island hopper boat to Gili Trawangan. We then bought our ticket for the 11.30 fast boat to Bali, which didn't actually leave until 1pm. The journey took about an hour and We both fell asleep. Once we arrived we then had to get on a bus to Legian.
