    ... the lunacy of Kuta, Bali, and take a taxi from the airport to Sanur, Bali. Sanur is a beach town without the drunken reputation of Kuta.

    Sanur is a relaxing beach town. My guesthouse is the Cafe Locca, complete with swimming pool and outdoor kitchen. A few minutes walk through the busy streets bring me to the beach area.

    ... that was being used to create all the dishes. As we expressed our concern, Heather was quick to point out that the amount of palm sugar and coconut milk/cream also going into the dishes would counteract the majority of the heat and she was right.

    ... We meet Natalie, Kirrie and Tom who are using the facilities at our hotel, although they are staying at the main town on the island. The girls have been travelling for a few months and Tom has come to join them for a couple of weeks. They all work for MacMillan Cancer Support. End up having dinner together and a very enjoyable evening.

    Today we went white water rafting with a company called Alam. It was the best I've gone on and it was only $35 dollars. We meet a very nice couple who live in Melbourne, Australia. They have 2 daughters, one 22 year old and one our age named Morgan who met later today. She was super sweet and they invited us to come stay with them in Auz.     ... if I wanted white wine or red wine; he said I pronounced "white" and "red" exactly the same (I don't see it). Once he understood my "whhhhhhite wine" with the 'h' sound annoyingly emphasized, he thought it was hilarious. They were small pours but I think he brought me 6 glasses? over the 14 hour flight.
    He would walk by with an entire tray of juice but when he came to me, he picked up the one clear cup and said "whhhhhhhhhhhite wine, miss?" ...
