We had a few difficulties on the way to Virginia that day... Heidi was having fairly severe chest pains so we pulled into the hospital on our way up and spent a couple of hours there until she was given the all clear. After that the trip flew by and we arrived at Smith Mt. Lake just after lunch on Friday. The place was amazing! A nice old house situated right on the lake ...

A very nice lady, obviously very proud of her mountain and all the splendour it offered gave us a map and sent us on our way, before we set off she asked (as they all do), where we came from. Our hotel is well place here and we walked back along the other end of the Greenway. We were always ready for bed following 10 mile walks during the ...

We finished our roadtrip with Lisa Phung over 4 weeks ago and made our way to Joseph's parents lake house on Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. The intention was to recuperate at the lake, spend some quality time with the Ramseys, get our Russian visas in our passports and head to Iceland one week later. We received some unfortunate information from the Russian embassy in Washington DC, apparently they only issue visas ...
