      Just a side note about "dog people" and "dog culture"... We have owned 3 dogs over the past 30 years. Until this most recent dog, Sammy, we just got a puppy, added it into the family mix and moved on. We had a dog, but we were not "dog people". I did not realize what this meant until this new dog.       ... time for dinner. This gives me all morning to take care of business, which gives me a bit of calm. And it's not like we're headed to un-civilization.       ... weren't a possibility because there was no skin to stitch up...there was legitimately a pea-sized hole in Amber's thumb. The doctor said he saw muscle. She is just fine though - she just can no longer say she's never been bitten by a sea turtle! Lesson learned kids: keep your fingers out of the path of a sea turtle's mouth! Especially a "wild" loggerhead like Squishy. What's funny is the girls, Shelley & Montego, are 200 pound loggerheads ...
