Inoubliable ... Alors ? Qu'est-ce que vous attendez ?
Caye Caulker, Belize Cayes, Belize mike-christelle... in Charleston and went to school at UVA and knows Stuart! (Carter, Martha or Mark spread the word!) He and I spent HOURS talking about Charleston..mainly about the food (just ask Farrah). The four of us wandered down to the split, which is called so because a hurricane came through some years ago and literally split the island in two. Now there is a canal running through connecting the sound side to the open ocean side of the island. This is THE spot to watch the sunset ...
Caye Caulker, Belize Cayes, Belize jeridolp... of the cat lovers here in Playa know her.
I checked out her web site and saw that she has a cute little cabana that she rents, and cheap I may say. And the proceeds all go to caring for the cats at her sanctuary. So I decided why would I pay for a hotel when I could stay with Madi and help her and the cats. So I wrote her and booked her little Jaguar cabana for me, my friend and her son.

... hotter. Then it began pouring again and we wondered if we should just go straight through to Mexico. By the time we got to the coast though it was sunny again so we used the prepaid tickets and got a ferry.
It was phenomenally hot, not like Guatemala (though perhaps the Pacific would have been similar) and it was at this time I left my massive Mongolia coat behind. Not that anyone will need it there but maybe a dog could lie on it. I definitely wont need it for ...
... drank the juice he would dip the glass in the water, shake it out, and then reuse it. Amoeba Man did shake the glass vigorously though as if this would dislodge any germs. Oh yeah, he would clean the orange mess off his hands in the same water. I mean come on. Can't you just look at the process and just maybe tell yourself this is not going to have a good outcome six hours down the road?
And they wonder how swine flu spreads so fast ...
... It really did feel like that, it was extremely laid back. There are only 3 main streets: front, middle and back streets and you can cross the island by foot from one end to the other within half an hour. It didn´t take us long to get into the rasta mood. We found a place on the beach, Femis bar, which was really cheap and had great fish and it became our headquarters for the 4 nights we stayed on the island.
The bar had swings to sit on by the ...
Today is the second day of the Belize Belikin Fest, this is part of the September celebrations and is basically a four day Friday to Monday Party in the Park. Live bands and DJ's playing a hypnotic mix of R&B, Reggae Punta Rock and other Latin Beats. This is all mixed with food alcohol and a Mexican Fare Ground which would not past muster with any western Health and Safety inspection. The real bonus is that it was free all sponsored by Belikin the beer of Belize.
Belize City, Belize christo58... autobiographical, I ran the Edinburgh Marathon to raise funds to come to Belize and I am also fat) and 21, which was just silly really. Is Kevin Spacey a good baddie, a bad goodie or neither, I can't decide. Far better writters than me have written about waiting around in airports so I won't attempt to go into that exercise in time killing, you've probably all been there. My second ...
Belize City, Belize District, Belize arg1272Arrived in Belize City around 1:30 local time. Philip Goldson International Airport is small enough that airplanes actually turn around on the main runway after landing in order to taxi to a stop in front of the lone terminal. We entered the airport, retrieved our bags, and made our way through Immigration and Customs. We traded some cash for Belizean currency ($1 US = $2 Bz) at the bank branch just inside the doors for the pickup area. Our ...
Ladyville, Belize District, Belize boognish... but has lots of interesting exhibits, the star of which is the Jade Head found at one of the Mayan ruins. The head is just over 6 inches in diameter and is the largest known carved Jade figure. Unfortunately they do not allow photos to be taken. From here we then went to the old Government House, in use until Independence, it is now a cultural centre although it has a display of 19th century furniture and porcelain, glassware and silver ...
